Christ-Stéphane Boizi @chrisontrombone - As The Spirit Leads @bangerfactoryrecords

London-based trombonist, composer, and bandleader Christ-Stéphane Boizi makes a striking debut with As The Spirit Leads, out now on Banger Factory Records!
Rooted in his gospel upbringing and Christian faith, Boizi’s original compositions blend the power and simplicity of church music with the acoustic jazz tradition and modern New York innovation. What a night at the @bluenotelondon- a beautiful new venue in the heart of the West End that is showcasing the best of Jazz, especially London's own @markkavuma and the Banger Factory. Two sold out shows in one night, raising the roof, but also bringing heartfelt emotions in the ballads that kept the room enthralled. I had the good fortune to be taking pictures in this amazing space, the first time of many, I hope 😀.

Hey hey, Happy Friday to you all!!
RAYMOND is out now everywhere!

It feels incredible to say that, a tune that I wrote with love and have grown to love even more about a person who loved me as soon as he met me is out in the world!

So grateful to my G-Pops for continuing to inspire me and showing me what it means to be a man in this world. I hope you love this tune as much I have loved living with it.

I wrote Raymond, early last year with the intention of capturing my Grandpa’s essence, his swagger, demeanour and his ever present playfulness.

I have so much love for this lovely group of people I get to call my band, they sound so beautiful and it is pleasure to do this entire process called music with them.

Here are a couple shots from the studio in January alongside some pictures of my G-Pops throughout the years. The last picture is from July this year when my Grandpa was in town!! Have a Jack Daniels with honey in it- Raymond’s drink of choice.

Heads Up- You can now preorder the full album on Bandcamp on Vinyl and Digitally. There’s a limited run so get them whilst they’re hot!
