THE EVOLUTION OF LA STREET FOOD & AMERICA’S FUSION BURRITO CULTURE 🇺🇸🍔🌯

Via (@banginbuns)

Dating back to the early 20th century, the Mexican-American culinary traditions of Southern California laid the groundwork for one of the richest street food capitals in the world. Historically born out of vibrant food trucks and local taquerias across Los Angeles, the iconic California burrito evolved into a cultural canvas for bold culinary innovation. Today, taking a food tour through LA’s viral street food spots and late-night joints is an absolute bucket list experience for travel enthusiasts and food lovers alike.

Pushing food innovation to the absolute extreme, spots like Bangin Buns in Los Angeles have taken viral street food to a whole new level! Combining classic smash burgers, crispy Nashville-style hot chicken tenders, melted cheese, and signature sauce all wrapped tightly inside a giant tortilla, this massive hybrid creation represents LA's unstoppable comfort food culture. Save this post to your food itinerary for future US travel inspiration!
