Tis the season 🎃🐈‍⬛🧡🍁

Always ecstatically grateful for the joyful moments on my health journey. This weekend was a beautiful reminder of just how much the “little” things can mean.

Waking up full of energy instead of sleeping past noon and still feeling fatigued and in chronic pain. Grabbing breakfast and coffee and actually enjoying them without nausea or a complete lack of appetite, when eating can feel less like living and more like surviving.

Visiting a little neighborhood punkin’ patch with my Poopa (aka Grandpa), playfully picking which pumpkins we and our cats would be if we were pumpkins instead of lying in bed, barely able to move.

Stopping by the hardware shop to pick out the paint color for the birdhouse my Poopa is going to build me. Then coming home to our place in the country, where I traumatized my cat just to get a picture of us with our pumpkins. 😂

This weekend has been a gift, and it’s still giving. ✨

Sometimes, the moments we once wished we could experience again become the ones we cherish the most.

A reminder to never take the “little” moments for granted.

Love you, fam. 🫶🏼

P.S. Supporting one of my favorite brands, @bangsshoes 🍄‍🟫

And thank you to @kristinellephillips for the adorable socks, @jordan.danielle41 for talking me into my OU sweatshirt and supporting a local business, and @kiara.s.damico for getting me into thrifting—hence the cute hat!

+++ 32nd procedure under sedation this Thursday 🤯 — a superior hypogastric nerve block to treat my chronic pelvic pain associated with pudendal neuralgia, interstitial cystitis, endometriosis, hypertonic pelvic floor, IBD-C, and rectal prolapse.

Never give up. Never surrender. 🤟🏼

Whimsy 101 is a series I’ve been thinking about doing for a long time. It sort of encapsulates all things that are whimsical in my life ranging from the home to fashion to lifestyle… all the things! I’m always trying to come up with new ways to bring little pops of joy into my life. Perhaps it stems from a forever battle with depression and bipolar disorder. I just want to surround myself with as many things that make me stop and remember how lovely life can be.

I recently discovered how much I love shoe accessories. I’m talking charms, fun shoelaces, clip ons, wings you can tie into your shoelaces, etc. It’s also a really fun way to draw in color to help pull together an outfit. Adding a pretty purple bow to a pair of heels might help tie in that color from someplace else in an outfit and create a more visually cohesive look.

I recently decided to, first and foremost, update my shoes that I wasn’t in love with anymore. It was actually a great way to get me not to spend more money on new shoes because simply changing out a pair of shoelaces made me love some pairs of shoes again that I hadn’t for a long time. Although, some of these are in desperate need of a cleaning. Lol. And then the other bits of accessories are really interchangeable and fun. I don’t think I would change out shoelaces a lot just because that’s more work, but throwing some fun charms or bows on top is so easy.

Anyone else here obsessed with shoe accessories or is that just me? If you aren’t already, do you think you’ll be trying it?

Sunday night, mom mode activated, and absolutely zero patience to wait until I looked presentable to film this unboxing. 😂🦖

Evie and I grabbed the mail, and my new fossil bag had arrived!! Naturally, I had to open it immediately. Priorities, right? 🤣

A little mom life, a little fossil obsession, and a whole lot of excitement over my new bag from @bangsshoes

Now I just need to fill it with fossils! 🦴🪨

Follow along for more fossils, science, nature adventures, and the occasional chaotic mom moment! 🌿✨

“You want a dragon? Earn one.”

Forever a dragon girl, I’ve read all but one of these (which I’m planning to read soon as I recently bought it) does that make me a dragon rider yet????

Fine I’ll settle for the next best thing —-> A spicy mare

From top to bottom a collection of books that let us live in a world where dragons exist.

-The Elflaine Chronicles: Song of Starlight by @haley.h.writes
-Dragon Blind by @drimanauthor
-Her Hidden Fire by @cliodhna.osullivan
-Guardian by @authorkatekorsak
-From the Silence of the Shadows by @vblacey.books
-Son of the Prophet by @effie.joe.stock.author
-When Dealing With Dragons by @danaswiftbooks
-A Fate Forged in Fire by @hazelmcbrideauthor
-Eldest (the Inheritance Cycle) by @christopher_paolini
-Onyx Storm by @rebeccayarros
-A Dance of Dragons by @grrm_nm

What books do I need to add to my dragon collection???

Also a moment for the small dragons on these shoes from @bangsshoes
