Tribe Selections | @banjaxeddj

I’m Archie, i’m an electronic music producer and synth enthusiast from liverpool. the following selections are a series of tracks that I almost always listen to before starting my own tracks as inspiration. They vary massively from genre to genre but all of them encapsulate something magical that inspires me to work on my own music.

Earth Message - Bernard Fevre, Black Devil Disco Club

Such a cool bit of late 70s sci fi electronica, light years ahead of its time. It’s almost like if satellites were tasked to write music, I think this is what they would splurt out.

Photofinish - Zodiaks

I love the way it hypnotises layers of lazerbeams and data streams. You can literally feel the warmth from all the analogue synths used. I think they should play this at space mountain in Disneyland.

Garden of Paradise - Steven Hillage

Almost 25 minutes of the most gorgeous rippling, pulsating sound waves, shimmering from ear to ear. Really builds the idea of a celestial garden, far, far away. Truly cosmic stuff.

Tomorrow Never Knows - The Beatles

I always listen to this before starting any track of my own. It’s pretty mesmerising the way this droney sitar sound is grounded behind all these little fragments of sound looping in and out. Every time I listen to this I think ‘that’s how you write a fucking song right there’.

The Sunshine Underground - The Chemical Brothers

My gateway drug to the world of electronic music. The CD never left the glovebox in the family car when I was little and for good reason. It is the best song I have ever, and will ever hear on earth. One minute your in this world of hazy psychedelic sitars and the next your in hyperspace with this huge gurning monster. When I die bury me with this album please :)

ONLY 20 PRESSINGS PER RELEASE
Space Bunny Records @spacebunnyrecords limited edition 10″ releases. A collection of three essential cuts for the underground dancefloor.

We have been unwillingly gatekeeping this one for a couple of months after grabbing our copies and just realised you should know.

These releases are limited, hand‑cut vinyl runs, clearly aimed at the dancer, the crate‑digger, the head who remembers techno’s wild sub genres. Ownership here means possessing something rare, visceral, and built for actual motion.

SBNY003 - The Count / Return to Albion
Scott Artex @scottartex returns to the label with his 4x4 rolling basslines and intergalactic synths, marking 2 heavy dance floor offerings from the Manchester based producer.

1. The Count (Slide 1)
2. Return to Albion (Slide 2)

SBNY004 - Solar Funk / Kula Quest
Banjaxed's @banjaxeddj return to the label is sure to ignite dance floors with his debut solo release, 'Solar Funk / Kula Quest.' The two tracks delve deep into the realms of deep house, weaving cosmic soundscapes with pulsating 303s. 'Solar Funk' transports listeners on a journey through the cosmos with its ethereal melodies and hypnotic rhythms, while 'Kula Quest' ventures into more leftfield territories, blending warbling acid lines with infectious grooves.

1. Solar Funk (Slide 3)
2. Kula Quest (Slide 4)

SBNY005 - Alien Signals / Dog Machine
‘Alien Signals', originally featured as the third track on Alien Izz's @alien_izz debut EP, is now getting a special treatment with a remastering. This release is paired with an electrifying and exclusive new track from Jovak @jovak___ in the form of ‘Dog Machine.’ Two underground cuts, delivering warbling acid and dance floor heat.

1. Alien Izz - Alien Signals (Slide 5)
2. Jovak - Dog Machine (Slide 6)

These 20 unit runs don’t wait, we last counted 8 in stock for each pressing.
Head over to the @spacebunnyrecords
