Such a fun day at the first-ever surf comp held at Indicators, Raglan 🤙

Big thanks to @bankskrupt & @microbanks and the team at @indicatorsbeachfront for putting together an awesome event. The waves, the energy, and the people made for a great day in the water.

Stoked to be part of it and looking forward to seeing this event grow in the future🤞

One hesitation can change everything... but so can one lesson.

This was my second time surfing Indicators Point, Raglan. Fast and steep waves.

The waves were overhead for me, and I let fear make the decision. I hesitated and missed couple waves that could have helped me qualify.

Then I caught my best wave of the heat, but it wasn't even near to what I can really do.
Well I didn't make it through, but I left with something more important: confidence comes from facing fear, not avoiding it.

Every surf competition is another step towards becoming the surfer I want to be.
The goal isn't perfection, it's progress!

🤙 Next comp, I'll trust myself more.

Thank you @bankskrupt for giving me the chance to surf Indicators 🏄🏼‍♂️ Next time I won't hesitate!!

It’s been amazing to connect with old friends here. @sammathers @megzie__jones and myself went down to surf and hang with @bankskrupt in front of his house. Mikey was a super grom growing up and was really hard to beat in comps. For sure one of the best goofy footers to come from NZ.
