MEGA WEATHER INCOMING

Looking at the weather front for the weekend, our group could be slipping the nets under a few exclusive carp from Earls Hall; with a massive pressure drop and a big moon, I am definitely looking forward to a 48-hour session, as I have only managed a small handful of those this year.

The result from a recent overnighter on the tidal Trent, fishing a new swim on the weir field I’ve not fished before. With the river being so low I didn’t expect much but managed 5 barbel 5 doubles, in no particular order! But nice to have one on first light… you can tell the rivers been low so far this season just by the colour of the first barbel look how golden she is compared to the normal silvery look you get on the trent. Beautiful looking fish, lets hope the rain keeps coming 🌧️🍂💨

A quiet first night without a bite I was up early seeing couple show the other side of the lake. Packing up and moving around there for midday getting all 3 rods out with bait, nothing happened until dark. First of three that night a 28lb and ounces mirror.

I was unsure if I should post or not…but thought fuck it first fish out of the new syndicate, had to take a dip to get it out of the reed bed 100% worth it.
Shame the pictures were taken in the dark.

GREAT TIMES GREAT PEOPLE

Socials with mates are much needed, not just for the fishing, but for sitting, having a beer, watching the sunset, and just chewing the fat. @matt_laney35, you have been brilliant this year and Ethan loves having you about. Let's hope next year sees us having more wet nets.
