For centuries, Savile Row was almost exclusively defined by the male silhouette. Founded by Ruby Slevin, Banshee of Savile Row opened at number 13 in 2019 to dismantle that limitation, offering bespoke tailoring dedicated specifically to women.

Rather than simply downsizing men's patterns, each garment is drafted from scratch around the nuances of the female anatomy. Cut from heritage British wools, tweeds, and silks, their jackets feature floating canvas interlinings, hand-padded lapels, and sharp, sculpted proportions that celebrate feminine power without mimicking masculinity.

Last night I discovered bespoke tailoring for women in Savile Row at the @torimurphytextiles x @bansheeofsavilerow party and now I can’t get it out of my mind. I’ve never considered going bespoke for my coats and have been hunting recently at Chanel and Dries van noten ( admittedly I did buy a Dries jacket- being altered for me currently). But now I can’t unsee this. The suits, jackets and coats on display last night for the collaboration were immaculate and stunning, as were the non collab ones on the rails. Love how the Tori Murphy fabrics were used for the interiors too. That lush velvet green curtain had me dreaming that I need floor to ceiling windows for our next London home. #savilerow #torimurphytextiles #frieze

Today’s the day gang, a year in the making, I’m currently packing up to head off to London for tonight’s launch party on Savile Row. 💥

I’ve always felt there was a common thread between dressing a window and dressing yourself. The fabrics, the linings, the fit, all those made to measure details that make such a difference and make something unique that fits like a glove. ✨

This project has pushed us and led us to something incredibly special. Seeing where these ideas have taken us has reinforced my love of working in the British textile industry and the enormous possibilities there are when curious and creative minds come together @bansheeofsavilerow 💥

Thank you Ruby Slevin for inviting me to provide a live violin score for the @bansheeofsavilerow London Fashion Week show.
Loop pedals, distortion, ambient echoes through a Fender Vibrolux amp - a mix of classical atmospheric , with a wild + free unpredictability, creating soundscapes as the models walked through the Princess Louise in Holborn.

The Banshee Scream 🖤

Banshee of Savile Row presented its latest Autumn/Winter collection during London Fashion Week.

Inspired by Gráinne Mhaol, the legendary Irish Pirate Queen, Ruby Slevin’s collection brings together traditional Savile Row tailoring and a dark, gothic romantic spirit, worn with the bearing of a Queen.

Each piece is made to order, cut and constructed by hand using traditional bespoke tailoring techniques.

The show was accompanied by a live violin performance by Anna Phoebe.
