Presenting y'all the director's cut of a narrative docu-ad film we recently did for @khaadi #TheGreenHub 🌱🌎✨ A journey that spanned three weeks of pre-production, five shoot days across multiple cities, and weeks of post-production. Acknowledgements : An incredible journey of creating a beautiful third space for “Between the World”, my first solo museum presentation, and finally realizing a short film I had long dreamed of. My heart overflows with warmth, joy, love, and deep gratitude to everyone who made this process memorable and fun. I begin with my mentor, colleague, friend, and sister, Saamia, for always having my back—fifteen years of guidance and love. I couldn’t have made the short without Zainub, whose knowledge of Khayal Gayki music and kind spirit brought a meditative, touching voice to the project. I feel so blessed to call her a friend. Much of the poetry comes from the irreplaceable fifteenth-century Punjabi poet, Shah Hussain. I couldn’t have asked for a better cinematic videographer than Shahpara, whose experience brought my visual imagination to life. Endless thanks to Amani for her skillful makeup and patience. I met many dear hearts: Sameera, for capturing unit photos and archiving behind-the-scenes; Meera Khawaja, for stills and assisting on set; Yumna, for last-minute help and transforming humble materials into a set. Infinite gratitude to Sehr, for listening to endless stories, staying by my side across time zones, and infusing constant positivity. Punal Baloch, despite his busy schedule, edited the short with me and encouraged me to attend the opening. Ananyaa Gaur, from Delhi, offered timely support across borders. Sensitive Zeb honored me with heartfelt writing, and Nazuk offered support despite her workload. Thanks to Ifrah from Zaamin Jewellery, Talha Ali Kushvaha, Taimur Afghani, Ali Mujtaba, and Muhammad Ali / Bao Studio for last-minute help with scores.
