This account has been a little quiet for a few years so I'm bringing it back to life! In May I was honoured to be elected by my @cheltenhambc colleagues as Mayor of Cheltenham - 150 years after William Nash Skillicorne first took up the chain. My mayor-making in the stunning @cheltenhamtownhall saw wonderful performances by @chloejpoetry @jessabiona @corrainecollinsdance and @napa_indian_arts. I committed to follow my illustrious predecessors championing a town that is inclusive, outward-looking and internationalist and launched my fundraising campaign for three great local charities: @art_for_all_mental_health harness the power of creativity for mental wellbeing, @youngglos give second chances to young people facing real challenges in their lives and @itsadigitaltrust have refurbished 135,000 donated computers for local charities and African schools. Check the links in my bio to find upcoming events where you can support them including my Quiz on 18 September and the Grand Mayor's Ball on 26 September. Special thanks to my good friends at @cgtlettings_sales for making the Ball possible. I'll see you there! #Cheltenham #Ball #Quiz #Ball @visitcheltenham @cheltbid @cheltchamberofficial @martinchelt pix by @annalythgoe & Barry Curl
