It’s a wrap! The exhibition AR Advent came to a close shortly before the end of 2024. A heartfelt thank you to all the venues—@mzin.de, @westsidepaper.atl, @pocko, and @oodihelsinki—for making this possible. I also want to express my gratitude to @ramppapingu, @keiko__hoshino, @clemenslitschko, and @madebyfern for their support, as well as to all the participating illustrators, animators, and sound designers who contributed beautiful animations and showcased the diversity of our professions.

*Link to the Adobe Live stream in bio🙋‍♂️

That was a wholesome couple of days! I went to @offfest and my application had been selected by @adobe for an unparalleled opportunity – to have my portfolio reviewed by the coolest @okmotionclub ❤️ and share my work with the community during the Adobe Live stream (big thanks to great hosts @melaniedaveid Tim Möbest) I listened to inspiring talks by @dia_studio @wkamsterdam @nicolemclaughlin @buck_design and others and met some talented folks. Also… crossed a thing off my bucket list and spent a whole day exploring Barcelona on a bike and shredding nearby hills (shoutout @bicicletasguachin 🛠) A much needed mental pick-me-up. Be kind to each other and hopefully see you next year!

About a year ago I released my album „where one begins and the other stops“, alongside this beauty of a music video for the single „Shrugging“. It was created by @sandrabarth_ / @barbar_studio whom I can highly recommend!
In case you haven’t seen it yet, now might be a good time 👀👀👀

A group of teenagers meets every day at their spot in the city centre. No need to arrange a time, everyone will be there. A film about friendship and a unique, nonrecurring time.

What happens when you get out of your comfort zone? 🤔 You know, when you give yourself an opportunity to do something that's different from what you know or you’re used to. Suddenly you find yourself diving into something that's completely new for you...just to find out...that you went from a 2D animation to your first steps into 3D and THESE ARE THE RESULTS! 🤯

Give it up for School of Motion, Advanced Motion Methods Alum, Sandra Barth (@barbar_studio) for giving it a shot at creating these insanely epic 3D animations 🤩! ➡️ SWIPE to go from the 2D to the 3D edits! Also, did we mention she's now enrolled on C4D Basecamp to continue to level up her game? Watch out world, Sandra is coming for ya!

Here's the story of how these abstract characters came to life ⬇️:

"I had the idea of making little Lottie animations for my website for it to feel less static. I quickly came up with these abstract character faces and found it a good way to experiment with easing and offset as well as learning more about the limitations of Lottie. They got more and more fake 3D objects so I decided to make them 3D and went my first steps in C4D. I was surprised at how much fun it was to implement my 2D animation knowledge into 3D."

@sandrabarth_ / @barbar_studio made these really cool 3d animations and asked me to add some sounds. She also created the music video for „Shrugging“, which you should check out if you haven’t yet - the same recommendation goes for Sandra’s work in general!
