We are thrilled to welcome rising star Lorenzo Serra Cervetti, 4th generation proprietor of Badia di Morrona in the hills outside Pisa, who, together with his family, is crafting exceptional contemporary wines on their nearly 1,000 year old estate and home to a medieval abbey.

Join Lorenzo at two special events this week on either side of the beautiful bay:

September 15 Flight Night at Osteria Barberio with the modern regional Italian cuisine of Nick Kelly.

September 17 Winemaker Dinner at Via Del Corso in Berkeley hosted by Peter Chastain, Chef Massimo Orlando and their Team.

Barberio Osteria
@barberiosf

There are plenty of Italian restaurants in San Francisco, but Barberio Osteria is one that truly stands out.

If you love fresh pasta, quality wine, and a warm atmosphere, this is a place worth visiting. Whether you’re planning a date night, catching up with friends, or simply enjoying a meal by yourself, you’ll feel right at home here.

The menu is intentionally small, with every dish carefully crafted using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Every plate we ordered was full of flavor, and the wine pairing made the experience even better.

What I enjoyed most was how simple yet thoughtful everything felt—from the food and service to the cozy atmosphere. It’s the kind of restaurant that makes you want to come back.

For the quality you get, I think it’s well worth the price.

If you’re visiting San Francisco and would like me to show you some of my favorite local restaurants like this one, save this post for your next trip.

3 restaurants i ate at during sf restaurant week ⭐️

sf restaurant week was from april 10-19 this past month so this is a bit of a late post but better late than never!!

1. @barberiosf: gave cozy italian dinner energy… rich comforting & my favorite overall! loved the texture of the pastas & the desserts were SO yummy… my fav overall

2. @cache.bistro: cutest interior! loved the natural lighting and perfect for a more chill daytime meal :) don’t skip out on the pork tenderloin and petrale sole! very yummy

3. @lilyonclement: felt super fresh & light but also flavorful! highlights were the mussels & shaking beef

such a good way to try new places without fully committing to the regular menu… def need to do some digging to find good deals and exciting places to go to but very much worth the browsing!!

pro tip: go with friends so you can each choose diff dishes and try everything from the pre fixe menus😋
