Had such a good dinner at Barberio SF, my friend Saulio’s place. We’ve been friends for almost 20 years, and it’s really cool to see what he’s built.

The food was super comforting, and the tableside whole fish service was dialed — simple, thoughtful, and done right. Felt like eating in a really beautiful (and delicious) home. 🐟🍷

Missing the floor these days! 🥲

I didn't think that turning 40 was such a big deal until it happened. For me, the impact hit like a ton of bricks. How am I already 40? Thinking back to those loved and lost, as well as all the luck and dodging of bullets that got me where I am today... it's overwhelming. Even moreso is the realization that my younger self and so many good people carried me through a lifetime of learning and experiences to get here. These photos alone are only a glimpse of the embarrassment of riches my path bestows upon me.

40 is the turning point. A reflection back and forth. It's like standing at the top of life's mountain. On one side you see all of the mesmerizing things that have come to pass and with a single turn of the head you look forward at the second half of your life.

Some people say life starts when you turn 40. I kind of believe it. I can't wait to continue to experience the fruits of my labor and see what else is in store.

*Btw... f*ck 🧊 and this despicable administration. Turning 40 also means finally taking politics seriously. Let's stop this if we can and work towards a better world together from now on!!! #birthdayvow
