Natural leopard moment for Z + toner for his split dye! @barberwithoutborders had done a DIY split dye (shown on slide 4), so we started by toning that section to a nice honey brown color (slide 3) with the help of my girl @shaymoney.stylez! We attempted to do a subtle leopard print at school using Aveda semi permanent color and it washed out IMMEDIATELY - I was devastated and had him come over to my place the next day to redo it with @gooddyeyoung. Since we only applied the pattern to his natural hair color, it's very subtle and almost looks like it was grown that way! Next time, we want to bleach and tone his tapers to match the color of his split dye, and apply different patterns to it so it stands out more. This was a very frustrating but necessary learning experience, and I'm very grateful to Z for working with me to find a solution that he was happy with and Shay for helping me formulate his toner! #leopardhair #splitdye #alternativehair #cosmetologystudent #hairtattoo
