Highlights of the National Barbie Doll Collectors Convention, 2026, Austin, Texas #nbdcc2026 #2026bcon #austintexas

One of the biggest highlights of attending National Barbie Collectors Covention is by far the friends I get to see in person! I have a Barbie shirt that reads "Find your tribe, love them hard" and that line could not be more fitting for this event. Imagine being surrounded by 850 people who all love Barbie as much as you do, and practice Barbie's message of "You can be anything". It's pure magic!

If I have any regrets at all about this year's convention it's that there was not enough time to just hang out with everyone and catch up, and I didn't get photos of all of the amazing people I did get to see! Some of my dearest friends are missing from this collection and for that I apologize - just know I had so much fun hanging with you that I totally forget to even get a photo.

I love you all and if you're not in a photo, know you are definitely in my heart! Special thanks to my hubby too, who may not be a Barbie guy but is always the wind beneath my wings! See you next year Barbie tribe!! 🩷

Finally fully settled in at home and looking through all my Barbiecon 2026 pictures and I can't stop smiling.

It is not lost on me how incredibly lucky we all are at convention to be able to walk up to the designers, mingle, and have the opportunity to try to convey what their designs have meant to us.

Dolls have never been "just toys", they are vessels for art and expression and have been reflective of culture, society, aspirations, and values. Each doll designed is a piece of art and a piece of history.

I am always so amazed by how incredibly kind and humble the designers are when approached. I love that we can all come together as friends and fans of Barbie. It's clear that they are invested in the community and care about the relationships cultivated in the fandom.

Most of us who played with Barbie as children saw ourselves through Barbie who inspired us. Just looking at my childhood dolls invokes cherished memories. As an adult collector, it is priceless to be able to meet with those responsible for curating much of your childhood's imagination and recapturing your spark in your adult collecting with the absolute ✨Slay✨💅🏻💎 served in the adult collector realm.

Barbie convention Day 6- Yacht club and more!

This has been a whirlwind of a week and I cannot believe that it’s almost over! People are always asking me what the best part of Barbie Convention is and I can tell you this – it’s the people. It’s feeling seen, it’s being with people that love what you love, and there’s no judgment for our hobby that is so precious to all of us!
Are there downsides? There are: it’s exhausting, it’s overstimulating, and there can be feelings of being let down. I try not to let the negativity overtake me, however, because this is something that I save for all year, and I want to enjoy it to its very fullest. So I take my breaks, I come back feeling strong and grateful. Yesterday‘s highlight was the fashion show where so many of my beautiful friends got up to strut their stuff, it’s absolutely unbelievable how talented people are, check that out! Then it was off to our dinner event, at the yacht club! That was charming and everyone had a wonderful time.
One last day to go, and I’ll be getting on a plane very early in the morning tomorrow, but I’ll be going home with lots of beautiful memories. I’m so grateful you’ve come along with me, this has truly been a Convention to remember in so many ways.
I’m excited to see if I won anything in the prize room, I’ll let you know!
In the meantime, stay safe, and know you are loved.
