This 24 hours was themed nostalgic and impactful. Backtrack 20 years… when I was 15, there were two constants in my life: I would blast my absolute fav musical (@thelastfiveyears) in the car with my mom and I spent most hours with my high school bestie @aaronmcrosby - yesterday, I got to enjoy time with mom and Aaron and see The Last Five Years premiere on Broadway, 25 years after the masterpiece was created. And of course, spent a brief stint in my fav city (Times Square aside) 🥹😍❤️

We’re sappy, sentimental, and not sorry about it. It’s often said that when you become a parent, you become the opposite of how your parents were OR you emulate them. I sure hope I emulate my mom. It’s the absolute honest truth that every single person who knows her knows that she is the most incredible mom in existence. It’s not an exaggeration. I’ve known for my entire life that my mom’s mothering is unparalleled. Then she became G-ma. And while she’s been thoroughly involved in Lainey’s life since the day she came home from the hospital, over the last year of our lives, her level of parenthood is now unprecedented. She still lovingly parents her one and only child (who btw is in her mid-thirties 😉) while also stepping into a beautiful co-parent role with me to support raising my girl. I never have to ask for support. As a matter of fact, she typically offers extra (on top of the every day) in the moments she observes me drowning. You are our matriarch and we would be lost without you. You’re the epitome of why Mother’s Day exists. You are what I aspire to as I parent day in and day out. I will never be able to give you all that you’ve given me but I’m beyond the most fortunate human in the world to benefit from who you are. I love you forever. #momnme #happymothersday

Wow, Lainey girl turned THREE today! There is no greater joy I can imagine than watching her grow and witnessing her personality emerge. She is nurturing, observant, adventurous, and building that opinion stronger by the minute! We celebrated today with friends from school, KidStrong, and friendships that go back to the beginning by hosting the coolest Monsters🧌 and Motorcycles🏍️ party for our girl! Such a massive, thank you to all of our friends and family who love this girl almost as much as we do! #crittercrew
