The -er months are officially underway, which means it’s officially oyster season. 🦪🥂 But let’s be honest, we never let a silly thing like the calendar stop us from slurping them year-round. Where’s your favorite local RVA spot to grab a dozen? Oysters from local RVA businesses

Lately! Featuring my messy kitchen at work when me and @motorbruhh held down the fort all by our lonesomes and came out alive, Alyssa’s birthday cake, oyster shooters, cool license plates, pumpkins, party girls, onion rings, and countertops!

Bar Buoy • it’s oyster week so we hit up another dollar oyster happy hour! These oysters were a little brinier and saltier. We had an orange mignonette here. Got a nice strong toucantini - on the sweeter side. And only captured the aftermath of the crab dip and mussels. The crab dip was a little salty but probably due to the old bay saltines; which were delicious on their own! The crab dip was loaded with crab so that’s very much appreciated. My first time trying a red sauce for the mussels and it paired well with the mussels too.

Couldn’t be more proud to be a small part of @southernsmokefoundation raising $2 million dollars for the hospitality industry this weekend! Thank you to everyone at SSF but a big big thanks to @cshepherd13 and @htownlindseybrown for their relentless dedication to our people- I’m constantly amazed at the generosity and kindness they foster at this event and throughout their foundation. Houston- I’m obsessed with you but you knew that, don’t let it go to your head 😘😘😘
Thanks to Alyssa, Ryan, Sarah, and Eric for holding it down at the hush puppy house with me, fryer burns be damned!

Quiet on the feed, busy behind the scenes. 👀

Our craft time at Bar Buoy was such a fun afternoon of making shell planters with Heart & Craft, enjoying drinks and snacks, and connecting with another wonderful group of Richmond women. Thank you to Heart & Craft, Bar Buoy and PlantHouse for being part of it. 🐚✨

We may have been a little quiet lately, but new RVA Girl Dinner experiences are in the works. We’re taking our time making each one feel special and aligned with our vision… I can’t wait to share what’s next!

We love connecting with local businesses, creative spaces and brands that share our love of bringing women together. If something comes to mind, our DMs are always open. 💚

I’ve loved this song forever and it aligns perfectly with how I felt leaving yesterday’s workshop. When I look back at the winding roads that led me here, I feel nothing but grateful. Every twist and turn has somehow brought me exactly where I’m supposed to be - building Heart & Craft.

Yesterday was one of those moments that made me stop and think, wow…I really built this. Heart & Craft is a tiny but mighty one-woman operation. Some days I feel like throwing in the towel. Other days, I feel like singing from the rooftops. There are a LOT of moments in between and a ton of work happening behind the scenes. But getting to create experiences like yesterday’s - bringing people together, making something with our hands, laughing, connecting - reminds me why I started.

Thank you for following along, cheering me on, booking workshops, sharing my posts, showing up, and being part of this winding little road of mine. I truly don’t take it for granted. I can’t wait to see where it leads next!

A huge thank you to @rvagirldinner and @barbuoyrva for hosting such a fun crafting session yesterday. It was all of my favorite things in one afternoon! 🦪 🐚 🍸 🎨

🌿✨ What a week it's been! Kicked things off Monday night by whipping up a delicious salmon dinner using goodies straight from my garden – basil and mint blended into whipped cottage cheese, topped with a vibrant tomato and bell peppers salsa.

Tuesday night, I treated myself and Printz, my pup, to a delightful evening at @barbuoyrva for happy hour – it was the perfect artsy vibe!

Come Wednesday, Printz and I joined @christa_in_scrubs, @thereyouar , and their fur-buddies for the BARK Ranger program at @vastateparks Pocahontas State Park. We all had an absolute blast exploring together!

Wrapped up the evening with a comforting meal using the cutest pretzel-shaped pasta from @espressochailatte Virginia, paired with a rich beer cheese sauce, schnitzel, and rotkohl.

Feeling grateful for good food, great company, and wonderful adventures! 💚🐾
