Thrilled to experience first institutional solo exhibition in Europe of artist Mohammad Alfaraj at Delfina Foundation in London today. It was a pleasure to learn about #MohammedAlfaraj’s practice and to understand how he expresses the concepts of memory and time in his art work. You must catch it @delfinafdn if you can! I will be interviewing Mohammed soon for a feature in #TheBardAndTheRawi 💗

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate 6 years of The Arab Film Club! It was wonderful to mark this moment together by watching four beautiful (and funny!) Arab films. Thank you @mozediah, @soudade_kaadan, @luayawwad and @kaoutherbenhania for allowing us to present your life-affirming work to a packed auditorium at The Bush Theatre. Thank you @jaffabakehouse for the delicious specially made cake complete with photos from our screenings and events printed on top! We started back in July 2020 when just 6 of us met online for the first time to read Returning To Haifa by Ghassan Kanafani. We didn’t know back then it would develop into a hundred-strong film club. The screening and party on Saturday marked our 80th event! And we can’t wait to do more… #film #Arabcinema #london #screenings #events @bushtheatre

“From four or five years old, I would think up poems and wake my mother to write them down for me.” This is how Elias Matar’s journey in theatre began. This piece from @thebardandtherawi traces that path, from the Galilee to A Grain of Sand. It’s not a review, but a testimony to the creative process, the weight of holding children’s voices and why stories like this have to be told. With our UK & Ireland tour now complete, we’re grateful for every audience member and venue who helped carry Renad’s story forward. 🔗 Read the full feature: thebardandtherawi.com/2026/04/21/ #AGrainOfSand #TheatreForChange #Storytelling
