10/10 recommend IRL feminist meet ups. @daisychainfields owes me nothing, I owe @oliviarodrigo the gratitude for energizing our movement and creating a space that proved there is so much to be hopeful for right now. And we’re not alone in that belief. 🌼

I witnessed our collective voice amplified across valleys and into core memories.

Jenny Holzer in truth

A sacred space where we cried, imagined and held each other close.

Festivals with purpose >

Proudly aiding and abetting

Yoko Ono’s Peace trees blossomed as you entered the festival. What I saw were women of all ages writing wishes and tying them into blossoms… if you can dream it, it can grow!

In true DIY feminist spirit, instead of ordering and shipping branded pins… it just made sense to use the moment to craft together and make something special from the heart to share with community.

👑 this moment was profound to witness and I say this with immense gratitude and admiration: but our rights & access shouldn’t depend on celebrities and billionaires. bodily autonomy isn’t charity, it’s what we deserve! our taxes should fund healthcare, childcare, and reproductive care…not bombs on families in Gaza or anywhere in the world! We deserve a network of care embedded into our system, a government that actually upholds equality and equity.

Imagine having an idea and seeing it exist beyond you and into future generations. I actually teared up watching the power of Sarah Maclauchlan stand on stage with Olivia Rodrigo essentially passing the baton. From the mind of Sarah in the creation of Lilith Fair in ‘97 to 23 year old Olivia watching the documentary and asking, how do we do this today? 😭 that’s why we do this work, for the movement not the moment.

It was a real festival! We had no service and dead phones.

👼

A feminist herstory walk led you from stage to stage. Incredible poetic and a metaphor that exemplifies today can only exist based on the work of our ancestors who envisioned change was possible.

Heat stroke, hour long lines, 2.5hours stuck in the parking lot… still the best day ever and 5 star rating.

In February, the two people who inspire me the most made one of their big dreams come true! The first @sanctuaryclothing IRL storefront in the one and only 90210!

It was a historical affair, the mayor of Beverly Hills joined us on opening night for the ribbon cutting ceremony. Team Sanc, collaborators, family and friends who feel like family celebrated together. Almost 30 years since the brand was founded, @5starbohemian & @debpolanco built their very own ‘Sanctuary’ for the world to come and experience!

Escaped the cold for LA art week, FEMINIST News exhibited at @butterartfair, interviewed Los Angeles mayoral candidate @raeforLA, celebrated the stellar @aahlixx, held the mic for the survivors on the front lines at congress, upstate moments in between.

I communicated with an ancestor through a spirit box, @feminist hosted community in a salon in LA for the right to reproductive healthcare, held the mic for Mayor Mamdani, walked in protest at my first & last Sundance Film festival in Utah, then came back home to NY to walk alongside my neighbors demanding ICE be abolished, got to celebrate a blessed year around the sun with loved ones on both coasts I call home, got to see myself in print @pinkythemagazine, visited the trees upstate, I held a contest for the best Fast and Furious look at Dave & Busters, and handpicked a blow up surfboard as a human claw.
