“Sometimes you don’t realize the weight of something you’ve been carrying until you feel the weight of its release.”
I started taking my weight loss surgery classes last year at this time after a year of research, tears and deliberation. This is by no means the easy way out. I’ve worked so hard to get to this place and will always remain grateful for the people who supported me early on in my journey. ❤️

Change can be such an intimidating word, one that comes with “what if’s” and uncertainty. A word that also comes with possibility and excitement.

When I was at my heaviest, 403lbs, I felt like a failure in all aspects of my life. I had undergone a LapBand surgery, an emergency removal, and a plication revision surgery all within the span of 2.5 years before age 18. I felt like no matter what I did, I couldn’t “get it right.”

Turns out, I just got the unlucky draw. Turns out, life isn’t happening TO me. Life happens. Period.

So one day, a light bulb went off and I realized that change - in all aspects of my life - is the missing piece I needed. I was attempting large life changes since my failed surgeries without truly changing the way I reacted and maneuvered through life, change wouldn’t come.

In July of 2020, I changed. I began my pre operative program for my third bariatric surgery in the hopes of becoming healthy, happy, and to pursue the life I’d always dreamed of.

If you’re looking for your sign to take your life by the reigns, to change your life for the better, this is it.💕✨
