Developing musicals is creative work that is unique in its own right. It demands a standard of excellence, discipline, vulnerability, compassion, devotion, kindness and ingenuity that is unmatched. The cast, creative and production team of @thebeggarswaltz was no exception to this rule.

After having the honor of to be apart of the developmental process for over a year, we worked for two weeks and presented a filmed public concept presentation after a third round of work. The depth, joy and magic that is storytelling was personified in every human who I was lucky to work alongside of during this process.

🔥Let’s Waltz🔥

For the last 3 weeks I’ve been livin it up in LA rehearsing for the Workshop Presentation of The Beggars Waltz, written by the amazing Jay Floyd and music by the incredible @mattplayspiano and what an insane whirlwind it has been! Bringing the character of Chrissy LaFonde to life has actually been a dream come true! And this cast was on another level! I feel extremely fortunate to have spent my weeks with them, the most supportive, talented and loving group of people I’ve net in a long time! Thank you for makjby this Vegas girl who mostly works in sports so supported and welcomed into the LA crew! Love you all so much and hope to Waltz with you again soon 💕

I had the absolute best time getting to work on this concept presentation of The Beggar’s Waltz! Thank you to @jay_falz @mattplayspiano and Jay Floyd for allowing me to help bring this beautiful piece to life. And thank you to @lucydismore @seanabart @xanderambrose and @cob.obe and Jesse for being our fearless leaders. It was a beast to learn in just 2 weeks, but the work was so worth it. And not to mention the cast! This cast was truly special, and I wish it was a longer process of just to work with them all longer. I can’t wait to see where this project goes from here. 💕⭐️🥂 thank you so much to @michaeldonovancasting for this wonderful opportunity!

Yesterday we presented this piece on a beautiful soundstage in Atwater Village. It was a massive undertaking for all involved but we did it! Pulled off this huge show with just two weeks of rehearsal. I’m so inspired by all of the people in this photo for their resilience, professionalism and joy they brought to the process. Huge thank you to our incredible creative team @jay_falz Jay Floyd and @mattplayspiano. ✨✨HAPPY SURPRISE PROM NIGHT!!! ✨✨

When Tanner told me they had never been to prom many years ago, it never sat right with me. I went to prom three times, and its was suddenly instantly clear to me that all those times were preparing me to make the best prom ever for the person who deserved an unforgettable night the most.
