Top 8! Quite unexpected for my first time joining but man, I could still feel the thrills til this day. Being in World Class has been in my bartending bucket list for a really long time now. I’m really glad I can finally experience this nerve-wrecking competition.

Being an introvert surrounded by the people in which you never felt like you fit into, it wasn't ever easy.

I wasn't a good student since I was kid, in the meantime I was surrounded by the mindset of the family that the natural thing to do was to get a degree and get into a university; although I was never pressured into a particular path or another, they were certainly less than pleased when I am not return to school for my final year and instead I was start to pursue my career as a bartender after several 'lost' years.

I moved to Jakarta in 1999/2000 and landed a Bartender job at the low-end area, since I have tried and seeing about how little chances I had in this industry not coming from a hotelier school were clear in my mind, and probably part of the reasons why I decided to try my luck my way.

5(five) years later I found myself travel abroad to the country which I have never thought that I would be when I started my career that five years ago, but the different now, I work with a different passion to discover new products and the processes to assemble them, especially after several years having the privilege to create and involved in a larger scale of a multicultural team and with them bringing to life different bar experiences to contribute to this memorable guests experiences.

Though I have had many times the opportunity to join different paths during my career, I never really have a desire to do so. Let’s see what the future will bring, but it’s a real gift of life to still enjoy so much of what I have chosen to be.

Much of the time I work at the centre of the bar, with all the happiness, excitement and pride to be a bartender, tossed shakers and stirring booze, I know I will be still celebrating this passion in years to come with a nightcap in my hands at the end of a long but satisfying shift.

Anyone is up for the ride of a lifetime?
