POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Adored this bittersweet work by Penelope @barking_spider_creative during @driftartsfestival STRATA launch this afternoon at Pt Nepean’s Quarantine Station. Such Incredibly inspiring work honouring the lost women and children of the Tricenderoga shipwreck. Incredibly, I met Penelope in the Sorrento Op Shop yesterday when we both finished our Drift sessions. I had just finished writing a short story about a ghost child on the shipwreck. So of course I had to see this incredible work titled Yellow. It shares the story of the fever sickness that took so many lives and a nod to the times we’ve just survived. Such incredible works. I love how festivals brings different perspectives of our stories to the surface. STRATA is showing works everyday from 10:30-4:30 until Sunday 30 April #driftfestival

Introduce your little one to art through play at Play, Art and Learning. 🎨

Enjoy exploring art together in creative ways in the setting of Bayside Gallery. The session is facilitated by a Barking Spider Visual Theatre artist, who'll guide participants in art and story-based exploration, plus a craft activity. 🤩💫

Play, Art and Learning is a child-led experience designed to inspire curiosity, problem solving and creativity. This style of play assists with development of language and motor skills, while helping to build nerve connections in the brain. 👍

Suitable for children aged 2 to 4 with a parent/carer.

Suggested clothing: comfortable clothing to move in and to get messy in.

Cost: $10. Ticket is for one adult and one child, book via link in bio.
