Episode 274 // PenguinHanger:
Does cancel culture need to bring a bonus point system or even a league table with promotion/relegation battle? We don’t know either. We are also uncertain as to wether Farrells Ireland squad is very strong or eerily concerning. A lot of questions asked but not many answers. It’s a Cliffhanger episode 🚀🐧✌🏻

Alone You Stand 💚

At our Awards Night earlier this year, Axel’s teammates came together to pay tribute to him, marking ten years since his passing.

Our thoughts continue to be with his family and many friends.

Episode 273 // 28 Penguins Later:
It’s Champions Cup week but is it really Champions Cup week? We discuss the season of the Rugby book as Simon Zebo brings out his Ying to Peter O’Mahonys Yang. We glance back at the URC last week and look forward to a weekend where the Irish provinces need some wins in Europe 🚀🐧✌🏻

Anthony Foley had just been dropped from the Ireland team for the first time when Barry Murphy asked him for a lift home from camp. 👀

Axel wasn’t in the best of moods. 😂

“If you’ve got anything important to say, say it now, cos I’m not talking to you on the way home.”

Some character. Some memories ❤️

Today, I had the privilege of returning to Grant Thornton Ireland to share my journey as part of Black History Month, alongside Barry Murphy, who interviewed me and helped bring the conversation to life.

My journey has taught me one thing above all: representation matters.

Sometimes, you don’t need someone to tell you what’s possible. You just need to see someone who looks like you doing it.

I’m incredibly proud to see Grant Thornton Ireland celebrating Black History Month and creating space for conversations around identity, diversity, inclusion and belonging.

If one young Black girl hears my story and thinks, “If she can do it, maybe I can too,” then sharing it is worth it.

Because my journey is about more than rugby. It’s about identity, resilience, belonging and purpose.

Proud of where I came from. Proud of where I am. And determined to help create a path for those coming after me.

Our stories matter. Our representation matters. And the doors we open for others matter most.

Thank you to the Grant Thornton team and Barry for creating such a meaningful space for this conversation.
