When fear overwhelms you, when your faith leaves you and support seems out of reach, telling yourself that it’s ‘just fear’ is often the first step.
And mostly, you are not alone with your thoughts and sorrows. You just need a friend, forever.

ITS JUST FEAR AND EVERYWHERE are now yours.

A few months ago, I made the slightly terrifying decision to give my life the space to find out what could happen if I finally put music first.

I gave up my job. I gave up my flat. I started house sitting. And instead of fitting music around my life, I started building my life around music.

Then came this week❤️

Taking one of my own tracks into Blue Bell Hill Studios and hearing incredible producers and musicians bring the parts I’d created to life, somehow making them sound even better than I’d imagined.

I was surrounded by the most amazing bunch of songwriters and creatives, all there working on their own music, and I came home feeling more inspired than I have in a very long time.

There have been plenty of moments over the last few months when I’ve wondered whether completely changing my life to do this was the right thing to do.

But this week made every bit of uncertainty feel worth it.

And maybe the biggest thing I came home with wasn’t even the record.

It was a little more belief that I can actually do this❤️

For the first time, music isn’t fitting around my life.

It IS my life.

And this is just the beginning.

Can’t wait for you to hear the new music 🎶❤️

After two and a half years, I’m proud to share that my debut album ‘Tribute’ is finally complete. 11 tracks, including 8 originals written by me.

There are so many people to thank who helped me to complete this, and I have listed all of you in the foreword in the album sleeve, but at the top of that list are @jamescraise @londonvoiceacademy @clay.bennetto @barnybarnicott @run_rivers_ and everyone at @music.production.retreat , all of who made the real difference. Thank you 🙏🏻.

In advance of releasing ‘Tribute’ across the major music platforms later in the year, I’m producing a limited run of hand numbered vinyl copies which are going to press in the next week or so. If you would like to reserve a copy please DM me, including your preferred number (if you have one) and I’ll ship a copy to you as soon as they are ready. Barry

Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not exploded onto the scene as a ferocious and vivid debut from Arctic Monkeys, capturing the restless energy and gritty observations of British youth. Fueled by sharp, angular guitar work, punchy rhythms, and Alex Turner’s witty, colloquial lyrics about nightlife, relationships, and suburban life, the album blends indie rock, garage rock, and post-punk revival into an urgent, unforgettable sound. With iconic tracks like “I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor,” “When the Sun Goes Down,” “A Certain Romance,” and “Fake Tales of San Francisco,” the record resonated instantly with a generation and became the fastest-selling debut in UK chart history upon its release on Domino Recording Company in January 2006. Its raw, live-like feel and relatable storytelling helped cement Arctic Monkeys’ place at the forefront of 2000s rock.
