The Doja Cat concert in Portland on Saturday night was straight fire 🔥 She is an incredible artist and athlete to put on a show like that… and THAT booty is definitely built in the gym! She never missed a beat or hit a wrong note. She had a full band with a horn section and smokin’ hot dancers. I was in complete awe the whole time. These are just a few highlights to give you a taste 👅

It was my daughter’s first big concert and she absolutely loved it 🖤🩷

Thanks again @danadavispdx and @stovepipepdx for a night we’ll never forget! 🎤🎶

Finally got my ass back on the dance floor. It only took my bestie @yomyers74 visiting to get me out to Portland at 9pm!

June 7th, 2012

That time I was the Marketing Director of an online advertising agency in Denver, CO and we cleaned up at the big regional awards show.

I may not have done the work, but I did all the case studies and completed the submissions that championed their work.

Their success was my success. I learned that as a Below the Line Agent in Hollywood. Representing creatives and filmmakers was one of the most exhilarating and exhausting jobs I’ve ever had.

On some level I miss it, but I am focused on the future and it’s time to start investing in my own creativity and talent now.

FLASHBACK FRIDAY! I took my mixtapes from childhood and recreated them as playlists in Spotify.

It is crazy to me that I haven’t heard this song in decades and the lyrics come flooding back like a teen wet dream!

Released in 1992 “Bobby” by @bobbybrown brought sex appeal with Humpin’ Around, Good Enough and Lovin’ You Down.

I must’ve played this CD a million times in my bedroom and it shows 🙄🤪😳

I was (and still am) one of a kind and a content creator.

I think it makes sense of why I teach fitness now.

How I feel after teaching and receiving so much love, energy, and positive feedback.

All I’ve ever wanted is to make a difference. It’s incredibly humbling and deeply rewarding to know I’ve had an impact.

Thank you to my students for trusting me. I’ve always worked hard to create a safe space where people can feel, release, and heal.

Grateful, humbled, and so inspired to keep doing this work.

Under tonight’s full moon, we dove into the theme of cravings and longing in our yoga flow. For us Aries (and honestly anyone feeling the lunar energy!), this full moon is a reminder not to be afraid or ashamed to lean into what we truly desire. Sensuality tonight was about honoring what feels good in our bodies, in whatever way that shows up for each of us.

So if you’re feeling that vibe, don’t hesitate to embrace it. The playlist we flowed to is linked in my bio if you want to move and explore on your own. Let this full moon be your permission slip to celebrate what lights you up.

The Ties That Bind 💕 | Bird of Paradise Flow

Binds in yoga teach us about strength and surrender—the balance of effort and ease that mirrors our relationships and personal growth.

But let’s be real—most of us can’t just clasp our fingers behind our backs or under our legs! That’s where the strap comes in.

Using a strap makes binds more accessible, creating space to open the shoulders and chest without strain. It’s not about forcing the shape; it’s about finding your own version of the pose and growing into it over time.

Why We Bind (with or without a strap!):
✔️Builds mobility & flexibility
✔️Strengthens shoulders & core
❤️Encourages heart-opening & vulnerability
✔️Deepens breath awareness

✨ Flow Highlights:

💪 Strength & Mobility – Warrior II, Side Angle, Reverse Warrior with Half & Full Bind

🌀 Strap-Assisted Binds – Creating space & stability

🔥 Peak Pose: Bird of Paradise – Rooting down, rising up with grace
This Valentine’s season, explore the ties that bind us—to ourselves, to our practice, and to the moments of connection that help us grow.

Flow with me on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30pm at @pdxgym in the @pdxhotstudio ! 💫

Tonight was my last class at GOLD’S GYM CAMAS, and my heart is so full as I look back on the past two years. 💞

We were a small but mighty community of dance and fitness aficionados! 🩰💪💃🏻

Together, we showed up week after week, not just for ourselves but for each other. We were a team – pushing through life’s challenges, sweating through every beat, and laughing every time I said “grab your balls.” IYKYK 😉

Tonight, I was showered with flowers, cards, and the kindest words from members who made each class unforgettable. They said I brought joy, energy, and strength into every session, but truly, it was all of YOU who inspired me. Thank you to everyone who stepped into my class with open hearts, ready to work hard, laugh a little, and embrace the journey. You made me a better teacher, and together we became stronger in mind and body. 💓

Let’s stay sweaty, stay strong, and most importantly, stay connected. Here’s to every single brave soul who walked through that door – you made these last two years truly unforgettable. ✨

With gratitude,
Erika
