Happy 18th Birthday Barrett 🤍

I’ve been lucky enough to love you since you were just two and half years old, and watching you grow up has truly been one of the greatest blessings of my life. It feels like just yesterday you were that little boy asking for a fresh sippy cup of cold milk… and now here you are this handsome, smart, incredible young man.

There’s a part of me that will always miss those little moments, but I am so unbelievably proud of who you’ve become and so excited for everything your future holds. You have so much ahead of you, and I know you’re going to do amazing things.

I love you more than you’ll ever know. Happy Birthday, Barrett 🥰

I think it’s about time I do this, about 4 years ago I made decision that changed my life

I want to thank firstly Coach Scholle, Coach Byrd and Paetow wrestling for introducing me into wrestling and showing me the basic techniques any wrestler will need and what it means to build companionship, building resilience and to grow with others.

To Coach Lowe, Coach Stayton, and Coach Krueger, and Katy Wrestling , I want to thank you for coaching me into what I am now, and giving me that extra time on the mat and technique that helped me progress to where I needed to be, and seeing the potential I had, to do great in this sport.

Unfortunately it was a short 2 years in both programs and I’m so glad I was able to experience both, and I would do it all over again just get that excitement I had during tournaments and dual meets.

To my practice partners at both schools I want to thank you for showing me that I’m not the only one going through it, it’s all of us.

And to my family especially my dad who encouraged me from the start to keep going and not to give up, showing up to every meet he could and supporting me and giving me advice, even yelling at me if that’s what it took (which it did sometimes), I thank you for that.

Also I want to thank God and Jesus Christ, who I truly owe it to for getting me to where I am now, from my first match freshman year to my last match Senior year it’s truly an improvement from who I was just 4 years ago.

I thank you all and I thank the sport of wrestling for making me who I am today.
