Some weekends become core memories. 🩵🩷🏐

Yesterday I had the privilege of spending the entire day watching Jackson compete in a grass volleyball tournament.

From the first serve to the championship point, I was reminded why I love being a sports mom so much. It’s never just about winning.

It’s about watching your kids, all of them, because teammates become your kids too, grow.

Compete.

Encourage their teammates.

Overcome adversity.

And chase dreams with everything they’ve got.

This fall, Jackson begins an exciting new chapter at Barry University, where he’ll compete in both Division I/II beach volleyball (in the fall) and indoor volleyball (in the spring). Watching him continue to grow as an athlete—and as a young man—is one of my greatest joys. 💙

Oh…and yes…

They won the whole dang thing!! 🏆🎉

Congratulations, Jackson and team. I couldn’t be more proud.

💙 Keep finding your Shawesome.

Sometimes the most beautiful chapters begin with the courage to turn the page. ❤️

Today, we’re celebrating a BIG one.

After a great freshman year at Dominican University, Jackson has made the decision to transfer to Barry University in Miami, Florida, where he will continue pursuing his degree in Exercise Science while playing BOTH indoor and beach volleyball. 🏐☀️🌴

This past year was filled with growth, challenges, friendships, and memories our family will treasure forever. One of the greatest gifts was watching Jackson earn a starting spot on the right side and share the court with his big brother, Ayden. As a volleyball mom, that was truly a dream come true. ❤️😭

But growth often means being brave enough to step into something new.

Jackson felt called to a different school, coaching style, a new environment, and an opportunity that aligns with both his athletic and academic goals. With aspirations of becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Barry University offers an exciting next step in his journey both on and off the court.

What makes me most proud isn’t the transfer itself—it’s the young man making the decision.

He thoughtfully weighed every option, trusted his instincts, prayed through the process, and chose the path that feels right for his future.

Jackson, your determination, resilience, and willingness to chase your dreams continue to inspire us. Watching you navigate college, volleyball, health challenges, and life’s transitions with such strength has been one of the greatest privileges of being your mom.

Dominican University, thank you for an unforgettable year, amazing teammates, coaches, professors, and memories that will always be part of Jackson’s story.

And now...

Miami, here he comes. ☀️🌊🏐

Barry University Buccaneers, you’re getting a hardworking athlete, a loyal teammate, and a young man with a huge heart.

We couldn’t be more excited to see what God has in store for this next chapter. And I’m lucky to be in the front row, cheering you on, in every aspect of your life. #familyforever #TransferPortal #BarryUniversity #ExerciseScience #MensVolleyball #BeachVolleyball #CollegeVolleyball #N
