When we started checking our keel last spring, we realized there was more dry rot than we initially expected. We decided to replace the keel where needed. Since we haven’t been able to look at the complete keel yet (the back of the boat is still an issue with reachability) we decided to start with replacing the front. @bartgarssen has been very busy the last months with recreating this part of the keel, and with success! Last week he was able to test fit it in the boat! The outer keel has a part of the deadwood included, since there was a loose wedge that we decided to then integrate within the new keel, and is made of spruce. The innerkeel has been laminated from oak, to make it better shapeable compared to one massive piece of oak.
