🥭 Mango book tag 🥭

Rex aka @my.book.nooks tagged me a while ago in this so I’m sharing my answers & tagging some friends too 💫

🥭 Freshly picked mango || A recent book that felt refreshing and instantly enjoyable.
•One dark window by Rachel Gillig. Amazing, 10/10 would always recommend.

🌶️ Mango with chili || A romance with tension, chemistry and heat.
•Betting on you by Lynn Painter
•Summer in the city by Alex Aster
•Unsteady by Peyton Corinne

🍚 Mango sticky rice || A cozy book that you’d reread or that feels like a warm hug.
•I’d reread One dark window or Divine rivals.
•Heartstopper vol 1 feels like a warm hug

☀️ Golden mango || That one book (or series) you’ll never stop recommending.
•Throne of glass always & forever even if I haven’t read a half the series yet lol

🤢 Overripe mango || It had potential but something just didn’t hit.
•Heartless. I sadly feel like it didn’t live up to the hype and expectations

✨ When did you join bookstagram?
I finally joined on July 30th, 2020, so crazy!

👑 What inspired your username?
I basically wanted my booksta to be my own kingdom of books

💖 What’s your fave part of booksta?
All the friends I’ve made throughout the years & being able to share my love for books

📚 What book booksta made you buy?
There’s loads! Basically all the og booksta recs like Caraval, the grishaverse, if we were villains, OUABH, etc

🎨 What’s your account aesthetic / vibe?
I don’t have a specific one, I think it’s just colorful

🌳 What are some recent faves?
The One dark window duology is probably my fave oils of the year so far

📜 What was the 1st review you posted?
I think my first proper review I posted was The Crowns of Croswald by @author.denight back in 2021. I still think about that book to this day, that’s how creative and interesting it is, go read it! haha

Let’s celebrate our mediocre achievements bc we should take pride in the little things too 💅

My booksta anniversary was 2 days ago. That may not be important to most of the people in my life, but to me, it’s a marker of choosing something for myself for a whole year. I dove into romantasy while struggling with my mental and physical health postpartum with my second child. Those books woke up pieces of me that had been dormant for years. Pieces of me that longed to create, design, and puzzle.

This page brought me some of my closest friends. People I talk to every day. People who have been there for me during some of the scariest moments of my life and the difficult return after. People who traveled across the country to surprise me and love me and continue to do so from afar.

This page also launched me into the world of indie authors, content creation, and PA work. I cannot thank my authors enough for taking a chance on me as I continue to learn and for becoming my friends along the way. Every day I get to create for them is an honor.

So thank you for being here, for being kind, for making me laugh, for enjoying the little creations of a night lizard 🌘✨

If you’ve made it this far, I have lots of cool things coming: an Etsy shop for bookish merch, content packages for authors, a collab with another really cool creator with designs I’m SO excited about, and who knows what else 😘

If you need someone to celebrate the little things with you, I am here 🖤

Easily distracted by books… especially when we’re IN a bookstore. 📚✨

Our ambassador @bartholomewreads took our Easily Distracted by Books tee on a bookstore trip, which feels like exactly where this shirt belongs. 🤭 Between browsing the shelves and adding approximately 47 more books to the TBR, staying focused was never an option.
