The @austinstudiotour presented the challenge of working small for their group exhibition this year so I decided to paint the small but mighty Barton Springs Salamander for the show. These guys are a species of endangered lungless fully aquatic salamander that measure 1 to 2.5 inches and are native to the iconic @bartonspringspool here in Austin and I wanted to show them some love with these mini (2x4 inch) paintings. #paintingsofinstagram #emergingart #austintexas

Comment ROLLINGWOOD or DM me directlyand I’ll be in touch regarding private access to the details of this off-market home. Life in this home looks like: Morning coffee on the columned generous southern front porch under a canopy of mature oaks Cooking around a substantial walnut island with marble, brass and custom cabinetry built for real use, not just photos Working in a wood-paneled study with floor-to-ceiling built-ins and terracotta tile underfoot Quiet evenings in the blue library, walls of windows open to the generous outdoor living spaces Fireside dinners on the screened patio with a full outdoor kitchen Privacy, calm and space, just minutes from downtown Austin Located in Rollingwood, this is new construction with the character, craftsmanship and soul of a much older home. No expense was spared, including $2 million in custom woodwork and $1 million in windows. Classic traditional architecture, rich millwork and a fresh, contemporary sensibility make it feel established rather than simply new. Quiet luxury in its truest form. For buyers moving to Austin from California, New York, Seattle or Chicago, it’s the rare chance to land somewhere that already feels settled. For empty nesters ready for their next chapter, it’s a brand-new home with no projects waiting. And for second-home buyers, it’s an easy win just a few minutes from Zilker Park, Barton Springs and Lady Bird Lake. You’d be only minutes from downtown Austin and concerts at ACL Moody or dinner at Red Ash, and the home is zoned to Eanes ISD, including Westlake High School. This home is privately listed. It’s not on the MLS and is available only through direct conversation. Comment ROLLINGWOOD or DM me directly, and I’ll reach out to talk through next steps. Access is shared selectively at the seller’s discretion. If you’re planning to sell your home in Austin and want representation and marketing like this, reach out. Send me a DM or fill out the form in my bio to get started. — Kam McCoy, your Austin, Texas real estate agent sharing the best homes and authentic local life in Austin, Tarrytown, Westlake, Rollingwood, Barton Creek, Pemberton, Clarksville, Spanish Oaks and the

Your Carrboro Freight Trains touched down in Texas last weekend, two-stepping across legendary Lone Star fields @thelongtimetexas and @thewishingwellfield — hallowed sandlot ground beautifully cultivated by @dba_jacksanders and @texasplayboysbaseball. The joy we felt on the diamond building new friendships with @meatcitysmoke and @tulsabreeze was only topped by all the Austin action behind the backstop: ⚾️ We stuffed ourselves silly with brisket and tacos ⚾️ Swam laps @bartonspringspool and @deepeddypool ⚾️ Scooted our boots at the @whitehorseatx and @aclfestival ⚾️ Toured the @lbjlibrary ⚾️ Celebrated @dkreissnc’s birthday by shutting down the bar with @farmwire @samstownpoint ⚾️ Soaked up that high, hot Texas sun ⚾️ Got rung up by @robertbluestein (the best ump in all the land) ⚾️ And recruited a few #sandlotrevolution allies (including two who hadn’t touched a baseball in decades!) to fill out our six-man Traveling Trains expeditionary force. We couldn’t have done it without everyone’s support, including our better halves and kiddos whose endless patience make this whole thing possible. To paraphrase @melissacarpermusic, we made some memories we’d like to remember and met some people we’d like to recall and never forget. We’ll talk about this one forever—and we’ll definitely be back again soon. #baseballisforallyall @carolinasandlotcollective

Never skip a side quest. . I’ve been the Austin a few times, but this was the first time making it down to Barton Springs Pool. This natural spring-fed, public pool is crystal clear, clean and refreshing after sitting in the Texas heat all day. . Had a great time at ACL Music Fest and excited to share more about our experience, including some perks from being Amex platinum members.

Quick trip to Austin. At one point we were able to hear all stages from ACL at the same time while at #bartonsprings . Good beer, good food, good music, great company. 10/10 , would recommend 👍
