Welcome to Matside & More with Rylee!! 🎥📷🎤⚡️🫶

This is your go-to spot for real-life wrestling content but the behind-the-scenes side of it. From student manager life, social media content creation, photography, reporting, and everything in between… you’ll see it all here.

I created this account to show other women in wrestling that it is possible to work in this industry. A few years ago, going into my junior year of high school, I felt defeated. I didn’t see other women doing what I wanted to do, and I started to question if there was even a place for me. I searched everywhere for wrestling influencers or women in this space but couldn’t anyone.

Then, that fall, everything changed. I came across @madisonvhollenbeck & @rayshelll_ who showed me that women do belong in wrestling and not men in this sport. They opened doors, made connections, and helped me see what was possible. Now, it’s my turn to show the behind-the-scenes work and highlight what women can do in this industry.

Looking back, my journey started four years ago. Going into my freshman year, I knew I wanted to manage a sport. That opportunity came through a teacher who was also a coach and from that moment on, I was all in. I fell in love with wrestling because of the culture the positivity, the family atmosphere, and the fact that no two matches are ever the same. That’s what makes this sport so powerful and exciting. I’ve spent all four years of high school managing (shoutout to Title Town USA aka Basehor-Linwood), and I’ve continued my journey at Barton Community College as a student/social media manager. Along the way, I’ve also worked with the Bobcat Wrestling Club, served on the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association board, USA Wrestling Kansas District 1 board, and a content reporter for Sports in Kansas.

To all the women in wrestling—this is your sign. You don’t have to step on the mat and wrestle a match to make an impact in this sport. There is a place for you here. Keep chasing your dreams. 5 seasons in… and just getting started. 🫶🫶
