A night to remember at the RICS UK Awards Grand Final 2026 where the @bartsnorthwing project WON UK Heritage Project of the Year. An amazing achievement for the team given the strength of the 12-project shortlist. Massive thanks and congratulations to our project team @purcell.architecture @conistonltd @huntleycartwright @simonhawkins14 and to the wonderful Barts Heritage team including @caggieham @fayfaymcdermott @brittunculi However, the biggest thank you goes to @thenationallottery players who, through the visionary @heritagefunduk contributed £5.7m to this £10m project. Thanks also to @wolfsonfoundation @westonfdn @cityoflondoncorp and all our other generous supporters. The @ricssurveyors judges' verdict says it all: "The transformation of the Grade I listed North Wing at St Bartholomew's Hospital has opened one of London’s most significant eighteenth-century interiors as a heritage and wellbeing destination within Britain’s oldest working hospital. The project carefully conserved the Great Hall and Hogarth Stair, including William Hogarth’s monumental paintings and historic benefactor boards recording centuries of public support for healthcare in the city . Through restoration, interpretation and public engagement, the scheme has revealed this remarkable building as a welcoming space that enriches the wellbeing of staff, patients and visitors while securing the long-term stewardship of this nationally significant heritage asset." #RICSAwards2026

Had the honour of attending the @barts.charity Breast Cancer Centre launch and speaking on a panel with the amazing @kattycel and @anneevakristina about what the Centre will do for breast cancer patients in the future.

Also sadly no photo of me fangirling here but Professor Peter Schmid who actually developed my treatment protocol, Keynote 522 (researched AT BARTS and is now used worldwide to treat TNBC!) was also there last night, and so were my wonderful oncologist Kathryn Hawkesford and surgeon Natalie Allen.

Thank you for letting me be a part of this campaign @barts.charity and @meremortalsldn 🫶
