FOX HOLE 5.22.26

Who ARE y’all?!?! Literally tho - Slow Fox was PACKED TO THE RAFTERS with a couple hundred crazy, amazing, singing, dancing, rabid HOLERS and I loved every single minute of it.

This was a very touching sendoff for my big move in a couple of weeks - the power of building community. The past three years of creating and nurturing FOX HOLE has been a fascinating and fulfilling time. To have this insane crowd, to perform for the first time, to center this episode of FOX HOLE around the Oaxacan Resistance Movement of 2006, the street artists who continue to keep resistance to oppression at the forefront of their work, to the women - los madres - of Oaxaca who have kept craft, culture, tradition and industry alive… to perform to an amazing mix by @fitzcn highlighting tracks and quotes about freedom and personal expression, queer rights and the battles that continue today… it was an honor. The entire night was an honor. And an honor to have my Sis, Sabine, on hand - the looks she creates out of my scattered ideas are always a joy to wear.

Thank you to Matt, Miranda and Sunday who run the most amazing little place in the middle of nowhere. I’m glad that I have lived down the road from nowhere and love that Slow Fox is a place I love to call home.
