This brother wrote a poem for class that shows another side to him. Great job Chase Johnson a student athlete.

"Ball Game”

The ball hits the floor like a steady drum,
Echoing dreams of what I could become.
Sneakers squeak as the clock counts down,
My heart beats loud above the crowd’s sound.

Coach yells out, “Focus. Be strong,”
But every missed shot feels terribly wrong.
The hoop looks smaller, my hands start to shake,
Like the rim is a test I’m afraid to take.

My doubts stack high like defenders in the lane,
Blocking my confidence, feeding the pain.
But I breathe in deep and take the shot,
Remembering the work and the time I’ve got.

Win or lose, I give it my all,
Because basketball taught me how to rise when I fall.
