Gwen Gets Coffee - Ep 23☕️

This time, we’re visiting @basekampswansea to try their new autumn menu!🤎

We went for their Kampfire Latte, Pumpkin Spice Latte and some delicious autumnal cakes - the perfect cosy coffee date!🍰☕️

I actually remember visiting Basekamp years ago, so it was lovely to be back and see them still doing so well! 🫶🏼 They also sell coffee and merch, so you can take a little piece of Basekamp home with you.

Definitely one to add to your autumn coffee list!🍁✨

Stopped by BASEKAMP for a little autumn treat and obviously had to try one of their seasonal drinks — the S’mores hot chocolate 😍🤌🏽☕️ Rich, chocolatey and topped with all the good stuff… basically autumn in a cup!

We also tried the New York-style bagel 🥯 and the sweet waffles 🧇 — such a good mix of savoury and sweet.

I love finding little spots like this in Swansea, and BASEKAMP has such a chilled, cosy vibe that makes it the perfect place to pop in for coffee, brunch or just a little treat when you fancy it 🤎🍂

Definitely one to add to your Swansea food list!

Join us on Sunday 13th September at 10:30am to discuss Doppelganger by Naomi Klein at @basekampswansea

What if you woke up one morning and found you’d acquired another self—a double who was almost you and yet not you at all? What if that double shared many of your preoccupations but, in a twisted, upside-down way, furthered the very causes you’d devoted your life to fighting against?

📍 Base Kamp, Swansea

One we haven’t visited in a while, and probably one of our first posts with the layout we still use today! I’d like to think the photos have improved since the original 😂

The iced caramel lattes are just as good as we remember, and the food was delicious too!

But what really makes the trip here is the welcome you get from Dil! Swipe to the end to see Yuki’s excited jumps! @basekampswansea

Swansea is on the map, and it starts down by the water.

Nine cafes made the cut, three of them specialty. Crafty Smuggler roasts its own beans and you can taste the difference, which is exactly the thing we turn up hoping to find and rarely get to say out loud. Storm in a Teacup Coffeehouse is the room you settle into rather than pass through.

We won't pretend Swansea is the biggest coffee city in Wales. It doesn't need to be. This is a short, honest list of the places actually worth your morning.

Lovely day with my girls, out for brunch at Basekampswansea then meeting Elsa and Anna at Plantasia!

Daisy was singing along so well they trusted her with singing the last line of Let it Go into the mic🥺

When it came to photos she was a bit shy, but she was meeting her idols after all!

Getting a coffee at Basekamp in Swansea, South Wales, a huge space with the espresso machine in a Tuk Tuk and a collie dog managing their merch and social media (maybe..!) #specialtycoffee #bestcafe #bestcoffee #singleorigin #bestcoffeeshop
