Basic Folk: honest conversation with folk musicians, produced by @thebluegrasssituation. Hosted by Cindy Howes & @lizzie.no. Account run by Chowes

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

For 17 years, Rachel McCartney had set aside a music career and all the anxiety and uncertainty that came along with it. If you were at Rachel’s recent album release, you were treated to some Rachel & Brian Webb classics that lit up the WERS Coffeehouse in the early 2000’s. I am so thrilled that Rachel’s released new music and am very excited that she agreed to be on the podcast today. Link in bio or where you listen.

Hello! What a great night at @wers889’s 70th birthday party. I wanted to post this last night, but I was dead on my feet. Thanks to all the students and the staff who worked so hard to make it all happen. Nick Lowe and Adia Victoria were dream boats 😍 special thanks to @kristen_kurtis from @wxpnfm for making the trip from Philly. So proud to have her there amongst Emerson VIPs🔥 .

Last night at Passim, Matt said “You’re on the wall!” What? I looked where he was pointing. I’M ON THE WALL 😭😍 Jon took this in 2007 at my going away party. Nicole and Rose made this incredible sign “You’re a good friend Cindy Howes” with a unicorn on it 🦄 what a wonderful lovely thing. Thanks Matt & Jon ❤️

Wonder what I said right before @strymish snapped this pic. .

.
Probably telling @rosecousins that I didn’t care about turning 30 after 3 tequilas into the night.
