Achieving a national title with this group is a feeling and memory I’ll never forget. It’s taken me a few weeks to process it all, but looking back, I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to experience such a ride.

A group that consistently put the team, culture, and system ahead of individual statistics or ambitions was coaching nirvana. Their focus and determination to absorb every technical detail and tactical concept we threw at them, while embracing the challenge of being pushed every single day, made coaching this group an absolute privilege.

To the staff, parents, and players… thank you. The unwavering support from day one is what makes this such a special coaching gig. The sacrifices some of these players and their families make is outrageous and grateful for them doing so. To the year 13 trio, go be great, can’t wait to see what the next chapter has for you lads!

Forever grateful for the ride. 🏆

A life built through basketball is about more than what happens on game day.

For Sammy Gallaher, it’s been a journey filled with opportunity, growth, setbacks, comebacks and a love for the game that continues to drive her forward ⏭️

From her early days in New Zealand basketball to competing in G.J. Gardner Homes Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa, her story highlights just some of the incredible pathways now available for young women in the sport!

Congrats to @aps_sport Rep & @geelong_college athlete Willow Smith, Yr 11, selected to represent New Zealand representing New Zealand at the FIBA U18 Women’s Asia Cup in Malaysia last week.

Competing against some of the region’s strongest basketball nations, Willow helped New Zealand to a seventh-place finish.

As a bottom-aged player in the tournament, her selection and performance at international level was a terrific achievement.

🏀 Loving these great action phots of Willow too!🔥

Well done, Willow! Wonderful achievement! 👏👏👏
