SAVE THE DATE - Work for What’s Next (11/5 from 5pm-8pm)

Book Signing - CEU - Networking. Best selling author, @amandachristensonschneider of @thinklab.design is joined by leaders from real estate, workplace strategy, and the design industry to unpack how the role of physical space is evolving in an increasingly digital world. After years of debating where work should happen, many organizations have settled into new routines, yet employees still struggle to answer a simple question: why come in?
Recorded LIVE in Los Angeles hosted by Rodenbeck and LGS Group at BASK in DTLA, this episode explores one of the biggest unresolved questions in the future of work. This event is intended for designers and will be a CEU. It will also be hosted as an “on demand CEU” shortly after on Design Stage. We will also be providing our first 50 designers with Amanda’s book for her to sign.
Want to join us? reach out to us for the RSVP link

When @thehospitalsofprovidence asks @baskwith.us and @theflyplant crew for a desert inspired zen garden 🌵🧘🏽

This built-in planter within the millwork is the first thing you see when you walk into the space so we knew this needed to make an impact.

This built-in planter within the millwork is the first thing you see when you walk into the space so we knew this needed to make an impact.

We added a tall Weeping Willow in a Limestone planter as a big beautiful statement piece on the 2nd floor 🌳

We created these raking patterns in the decomposed granite all by hand for that real zen vibe 🫶🏽

We carried on the desert design to the seating areas with mini succulent gardens in sleek box planters and tabletop centerpieces.

For this Olive tree & Agave plant, we chose Limestone planters with different colors & shapes to mimic nature and blur the lines between the outside landscape and the interior plant design 🍃

And of course we carried the raked zen garden feel throughout the potted plants 🙏🏽

Due to the hospital’s code regulations, we were only able to install faux plants for this entire design. But can you tell? 😏

Built in just 16 weeks from demolition to turnover, this furniture showroom for @baskwith.us in LA’s Arts District was conceived as a space that moves easily between modes of work, gathering, and exchange.

At the center is a generous communal zone - used day to day as an employee break area, and flexible for multi-purpose use. The layout is designed to bring showroom, workplace, and social space into one, allowing the environment to shift throughout the day with ease.

A wood tambour–clad office core anchors the plan, presenting warmth and scale within the existing industrial shell. Structurally independent from the building, the core allows for future reconfiguration while preserving the integrity of the space. Demountable glass-front offices maintain openness and daylight, reinforcing flexibility over time.

Original bow trusses were left exposed, celebrating the character of the building and grounding the project in its Arts District context. At the heart of the space, custom terrazzo countertops by @concretecollaborative form a central island—part workspace, part gathering table. Oversized 13-foot pivot doors allow the conference room to open fully to the floor or close for focused work, supporting a range of uses without interruption.

The space reflects After Co.’s driving principles of openness and possibility - along with our client’s belief that workplace environments should build culture and enrich the lives of the people who use them.
