Kunst am Bau 2026……🐦

After three years of work, this site specific art project has found its place at the new headquarters of a company in the Black Forest.

HUMAN MEASURE, 2026

I am interested in the moment when technology meets humanity. Every innovation begins not with a machine, but with an idea.

That is why the technical measuring instrument forms the foundation of the sculpture. It represents precision, knowledge, and the engineering expertise on which everything else is built.

From this foundation, a human hand emerges humanity’s oldest tool. With it, we create, transform, and understand the world. It stands for experience, responsibility, and our ability to turn ideas into reality.

Perched on the fingertip is a bird for thousands of years a symbol of freedom, vision, and communication. It represents the thought that cannot be contained, but travels onward, creates connections, and opens up new perspectives.

The sculpture reflects a simple yet essential idea: precision alone is not enough. Only when technical expertise, human creativity, and the courage to think freely come together can the future take shape.

Human Measure is a reminder that the most valuable resource behind every technology remains the human being.

Innovation begins where knowledge and imagination meet.

Kunst am Bau ….2023/2026
greetz from the Studio …

….Drei Jahre Arbeit liegen in diesem Kunst am Bau Projekt. Nun befindet sich die Skulptur in den letzten Zügen, bevor sie bald am Neubau eines Schwarzwälder Unternehmens ihren Ort finden wird.

Die Skulptur verknüpft technische Form, menschliche Geste und organisches Motiv zu einer Bildsprache, in der sich Präzision und Imagination, Funktion und Freiheit, Konstruktion und Lebendigkeit überlagern. Die Messtechnik wird dabei zum Zeichen von Erkenntnis und Fundament, die Hand zum Ausdruck von Handwerk, Handlungsmacht und Gestaltung, der Vogel zum Träger von Offenheit, Denken und Bewegung. So versteht sich die Arbeit als künstlerische Intervention im architektonischen Raum, die nicht nur einen Ort markiert, sondern auch dessen geistigen und sozialen Horizont erweitert.
