🌙 LATE NIGHT LUNKER!!! 🌙

Chris Harvey rolled in this morning with an absolute giant that he caught at 2:15 AM!
He shared that this beast ate a Candy Bug Ole Monster while dragging through about 18 feet of water.
That’s the kind of fish that keeps you coming back for more. Join us in congratulating Chris on an unforgettable catch! 👏🎣 #Lunker #TackleAddict #Nightfishing #Fishing #basscashbash #SamRayburn

Grabbed another Top 10 on Guntersville today in the Southern Collegiate State Championship! 20.37 was good enough for 8th but one spot out of a check unfortunately. Overall pretty happy with how it went since neither of us have experience out here and had a pretty bad practice. Had a good time catching some frog fish and learning the lake!

I caught a tagged @basscashbash bass today fishing from the bank on Guntersville! So cool sharing the excitement with Michaella and miss Macie! I don’t think she knew what had just happened lol, but thanks to signing up and getting the T-shirt bonus I won 1500 bucks with this bass! Make sure to sign up if you are getting out on Gville, because you don’t want to be THAT GUY!

Epic trip on the water yesterday topped off with this Sam Rayburn Special that Andrew Pitre was able to catch on film! The Bubba scales had her at 9.87 so we ran her back to Lakeview hoping she would make that 10lb mark on the scales to win $1500 from the folks at @basscashbash . She fell a few ounces short but a great fish either way. She came off of an isolated stump in about 8’ and we assumed she was on a bed because we caught a male doing his thing off of that same stump a few minutes earlier. We ran this pattern for a good part of the day and had two heavy 6’s as well as a bunch of other fish. All of those days spent graphing marking sweet spots paid off.

Gear:
@yamamoto_fishing green pumpkin blue 5” senko
@epicbaitsfishing 1/32oz tungsten nail weight
@gamakatsu.usa 2/0 G-Finesse dropshot hook
@dobynsrods Xtasy 752sf
@sunline_america 12lb SX1 @gammafishing 10lb Edge
@fish_shimano_north_america TwinPower

The frustrating thing was I ran a lot of the exact same spots in the recent Bassmaster Open and never had a big bite. The big girl came off of my Day2 starting spot. That is the way Sam Rayburn fishes… you never know when that big bite will come!

I’ve got a few days remaining in April and May as well as open days this summer if you want a shot at catching them on Sam Rayburn.

Rayburn is in the rear view. Can’t say it’s fun to come off of a top 10 at Kissimmee and then tank on local water. Had a somewhat decent practice but knew going in I needed to get bigger fish to bite. No excuses…Just didn’t give em what they wanted this week. Congrats to the guys that broke PBs and legendary records.

Caught most of my fish this week on 14-22’ piles with a @megabassamerica Vision 110 in M Shad paired with @trokarhooks 3X trebles and a 1/2oz. Green Pumpkin Blue mix @dirtyjigstackle jig. Those workhorse @taipan_rods that have been with me since the @phoenixjuniorbassmasters days did some serious damage catching numbers.

I do have to give some extra thanks to @palmerjonesphotography for following @dylanfogarty_fishing and I around all week to shoot for @outoflineangler , @mellylivefishing at @dd26fishing for getting me a @theleash_outboard.motor.safety on extremely short notice and also Andrew at @goldens_boat_carpeting for going above and beyond to get a new @minnkotamotors quest installed just one day before practice. Appreciate you guys! 👊🏼
