Monday, October 19th 2026 LAUGHING AT MAN KIND | live recording Lisa Tracy Michalik - vocals, Lyrics Nancy Meier - alto flute, bass flute Maxine Troglauer - bass trombone John Eckhardt - bass Liam Byrne - viola da gamba Tilo Weber - percussion, composition doors: approx. 7.30pm CEST concert starts approx. 8.00pm CEST In drummer Tilo Weber’s concert program, featuring texts by Lisa Tracy Michalik, language and sound—spanning jazz, contemporary music, and early music—interact in an unusual way. Memory, the past, and temporality find new connections: language is not simply set to music, nor does the music merely illustrate the texts. Both meet as independent artistic forms and together develop a performance in which musical and political perspectives intertwine. The audience is part of a concert that not only addresses political issues but also makes them tangible through sound, rhythm, voice, and the present moment. The music also incorporates historical dimensions: the past does not appear as something concluded, but blossoms as an opportunity that can be heard anew and questioned in the present. NEXT UP ✨  •• RE:BOUND – interdisciplinary • performance • lab ••  #2 – w/ VISUAL BASSIC aka. John Eckhardt (@basswald)& @katrinbethge “Like skipping stones, each gesture creates new ripples—each performance reveals shifting facets of experimental electronic music. Moving beyond the traditional concert format, RE:BOUND embraces the unpredictable as creative potential: a fluid gathering of sonic, visual and movement practices, deeply rooted in the present.” For #2, we welcome Hamburg’s one-of-a-kind interdisciplinary duo VISUAL BASSIC. Katrin Bethge’s live projections—shaped by light-refracting objects, liquids, and everyday materials—meet John Eckhardt’s multilayered bass in shifting audiovisual landscapes. Combined with multipol’s feel for sonic textures and contemplative forms, this second collaboration envisions an immersive performance between drone, dub techno, and spectral sound, with image and music unfolding in the moment. #2 – multipol x VISUAL BASSIC 📆 07.11.2026 🕗 Doors 18h/Performance 20h 📍Vogelsangerstr. 358B, 50825 Köln 🎟️ AK only – donation based 7-20€  We warmly invite you to come early and enjoy the early evening cozyness of Niehler Freiheit with delicious self-made hot drinks and vegan bowls. And we’re also more than happy to hang after the show! *** Credits: 📸 Slide 2: VISUAL BASSIC, Slide 3: © Sonja Werner 🤝 This project has been made possible by Kunststiftung NRW, Stadt Köln & GEMA Stiftung 🎨 Graphic design by @lolarubyo #interdisciplinary #performance

COMING UP ✨ multipol is soon back on stage with a new project and we’d love to see you there 🖤 •• RE:BOUND – interdisciplinary • performance • lab •• We are thrilled to announce the start of a brand new series! Conceived as an interdisciplinary performance laboratory and hosted by @niehlerfreiheit e.V., it brings together improvised music, sound art, and other artistic practices in an open, collaborative exchange with international guest artists. Moving beyond the traditional concert format, RE:BOUND embraces the unpredictable as creative potential: a fluid gathering of sonic, visual and movement practices, deeply rooted in the present. #experimental #soundbased #interdisciplinary #performance For the first edition, we invited two of our all times favourite artists to join us: @loukilger and @riarehfuss Drawing on and inspired by Lou Kilger’s texts, sounds, images, and movements emerge—shared and transformed together.
