A big thank you to everyone who joined us at The Wolf’s Tailor before the Michelin ceremony last week. We’re incredibly grateful to be part of a community that continues to show up for one another.

The MICHELIN Guide just unveiled its 2026 Colorado selection, welcoming 15 new restaurants into the guide.

The biggest news: Denver’s @milperodenver, led by Chef @johnnycuriel7, earned a new MICHELIN Star – the only new Star awarded in Colorado this year. ⭐

There’s more to celebrate, too:
🥟 3 new Bib Gourmands
🍽️ 11 new MICHELIN Recommended restaurants

And while this year brings some new faces to the guide, we’re also celebrating a few familiar names. @margot_denver_, @brambleandhare, @makfamdenver, @brutodenver, @kawa_ni_denver, @dearemilia_denver, and @annette_scratchtotable are among the Colorado restaurants we’ve had the pleasure of featuring and working with – we’re always excited to see the people behind these kitchens getting recognition.

The guide also recognized some of the people who make Colorado’s hospitality scene what it is, with special awards for outstanding service, cocktails, sommellerie and emerging culinary talent.

Hey Kiddo is a True American restaurant with cuisine based in many traditions and techniques; always highlighting in-house fermentation, well-sourced protein, local grain, and a zero waste kitchen mentality. They offer full dinner service, a large curated menu, a creative wine list, and late hours.

OK YEAH is located in the back of their space. They offer bespoke cocktail creations suited to your mood.

Gathered around the table at Basta, celebrating friendship between 2 Slow Food Chapters, Boulder and Piedmont, Italy, and kicking off the excitement for Terra Madre in Torino. 🐌

We enjoyed the flavors of summer on the pizza, their always-fantastic bread, hokum carrots and bok choy, and that very unique ice cream with tomato drizzle. 🍅 Oh Basta!

Last weekend, Slow Food (@slowfoodboco) brought chefs, farmers, producers, and food lovers together at Sunflower Farm (@sunflowerfarm_info) for the 4th annual Plant a Seed for Change, an afternoon centered around Good, Clean, and Fair Food for All.

The gathering featured chefs recognized with Slow Food’s Snail of Approval, including Chef Chris Royster of Flagstaff House (@flagstaffhouse_restaurant), Grant Buchanan of GB Culinary and Peachtree Farm (@gbculinary), Nick Swanson (@nicholasswanson) of Urban Field Pizza (@urbanfieldpizza), Samuel McCandless (@samuelmc13) of Corrida (@corrida_boulder), Hosea Rosenberg (@chefhosea) of Blackbelly (@blackbellyco), Daniel Asher (@chef_danielasher) of River and Woods (@riverandwoodsboulder), Alex DeBernardis (@chef_a_db) of Basta (@bastaboulder), Erick Vargas (erickjvm.96) of 24 Carrot Bistro (@24carrotbistro), Alberto Sabidini of The Academy on Mapleton Hill (@theacademyonmapletonhill), and Kai Benson of Moxie Bread Co. Chef Chris Royster and the team at Flagstaff House joined Slow Food Boulder County (@slowfoodboco) at Sunflower Farm (@sunflowerfarm_info) for the fourth annual Plant a Seed for Change, alongside an impressive group of chefs who have earned Slow Food’s Snail of Approval, recognizing their commitment to food that is good, clean, and fair.

Chef Chris’ Succotash earned second place in the chef tasting, featuring Sunflower Farm’s Boston Marrow squash, Cherokee purple tomato, and fresh dill; sweet corn from Munson Farms (@munsonfarms); and braised pork belly from Buckner Family Ranch (bucknerfamilyranch).

Slow Food is a global, grassroots movement connecting the pleasure of food with the pursuit of a food system that is good for people, good for the planet, and fair to the people who grow and produce it.

We’re grateful to Slow Food and Slow Food Boulder County, and to the farmers and producers who made the afternoon possible. We’re proud to have helped celebrate the people, places, and practices that shape our local food community.
