#Inktober Day 19: Confused

I haven't tried this with @bastandisis but they're pretty chill about everything. Well, except for when we were briefly gifted a giant black panther stuffy... 😅 (Long story.)

#inktober Day 11: Rescue

Not sure who rescued whom but I'm glad it happened. @bastandisis definitely changed our lives.

Thanks to the good folks at @helensanderscatpaws who rescued the girls in the first place.

#Inktober Day 2: Relic. Bonus: a familiar.

This one seems to stomp a lot of people including me! While searching, some free artwork for "witch relics" showed up. That's it!

Five years of love and chaos. Happy gotcha day, @bastandisis !

It's Mama's day off so we spent most of today napping. First, Isis wouldn't let me leave the bed this morning. Then Bast wouldn't let me leave the couch. They know what's best for me, I guess. 🥰

Most days we look at you guys and think how lucky we are that you chose us! Well, Bast chose @jokerlorian first actually. Isis just came along as a package deal. 🤗

Now Isis is daddy's awkward child and Bast is Mama's nap buddy. We cannot express how much joy you brought into our lives.

Thanks @helensanderscatpaws for matching us. Their foster did a great job preparing them for adoption and your volunteers continue to help when we have questions. We are grateful to have found you guys!

Progression of a nap. Isis inches her way toward Bast over the course of the afternoon. It's the cutest thing!

Post-workout office work with my assistant Isis.

Latergram from Tuesday! I was waiting to be picked up to go out to Barstow for our students' presentation to the USD out there. Isis decided to join me. 🥰

But before this, I had a great workout session!

🔔 The platform was not available so I started with Bulgarian Ballerina. Brave enough to up the weight to total KB 50 lbs. Set of 10. 3 sets.

🏋️‍♀️ Barbell row, set of 6. 45 lbs. x 3. Deadlifts, still working on form. 125 lbs. Set of 3 x 4

💃 Dance practice and dance-walked 0.75 mile. Stretches.

Went from couch with cats weekend straight into dance/walk one mile non-stop! My knees hate me but they will need to get used to it if I'm going to survive dancing in the OC Pride parade in October!

(Dancers of all levels AND walkers wanted! See @oclgbtpride for details.)

(Also sleepy Isis and Bast who wouldn't let go of my hand.)

Y'all. The platform, smith machine, and OG rack were all taken this morning! So I reverted to my original routine pre-barbell. So weird to not have lifted anything HEAVY.

🚴‍♀️ 3 mins assault bike.

🔔 Bulgarian Ballerina: 40 lbs. total kettlebell. 3 sets of 10. Oh why the hell not. 50 lbs. 1 set of 10. I think I might be able to up the weight next time!

💪 TRX Row: 3 sets of 10.

💃 First, dance practice, 3 sets. Then dance/walk on the treadmill at 3.0 pace and 3.0 incline, alternating parade routine with other 123 BPM songs, keeping pace the whole time. Some stretching after.

Office romance. 🥰

Almost a full minute of Bast being an absolute cuddle bug. She doesn't usually sit on my lap and let me love on her like this when I'm working. Even more rare that I can get the moment on camera!

Usually she'd walk circles around the keyboard, over my lap, up to the mouse.

Stop and smell the, well, orchids.

It was a busy gym day. No time for pics, but I have time the rest of the day to bring you today in pictures.

🌸 Post-workout me with Beverly Crusher.

🔴 I just realized the red plates are also 45 lbs. Why deadlift in black when you can do it in red? Did 3 sets of 5 at 125 lbs. Bulgarian Ballerina 40 lbs. 3 sets of 10. 15 mins. each with heavy bag and yoga mat.

🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ Came home from the gym to @bastandisis all over @jokerlorian. It was cold this morning for sure!

🍕 When you let Chef Mike @pizzaparlorlb makes whatever he wants to make for us, you got Killing Me Softly: white sauce, all the cheeses, basil, and pepperoni with a drizzle of hot honey. To die for!

🌮 A response from @samwytch when I said, "May the Fourth. Cinco de Mayo. Revenge of the Sith. This is the way."

It was a good day. 🥰

One of these was the reason I was up at 5:30 a.m. to go to the gym this morning. 😹

The Isis alarm didn't feel like a stretch when I slept most of Sunday and Monday. 😅 Back at it y'all!

🚶‍♀️ I didn't mean to walk for 15 mins but I was checking work email. LOL. 3 incline, 2.5 speed.

🏋️‍♀️ Deadlift: 125 lbs,.2 sets of 3. 135 lbs., 2 sets of 3. Yes, I'm ready to add a little weight!

🔔 Getting back into the Bulgarian Ballerina. 40 lbs. total kettlebells, 3 sets of 10.

💪 Manmakers. 12 lbs. dumbbells, 3 sets of 5.

🤸‍♀️ Yoga and stretches.
