🤠 Miksi Austin, Texas?

Täällä kysytään “How can I help you?”

Karjalanpiirakat muuten olivat SXSW:n saunatapahtumassa melkoinen hitti.

♨️ Haastattelukin tehtiin tietty suosikkisaunallani @batheaustin. Ja arvaatteko, mitä tein heti sen jälkeen? No saunoin tietenkin!

Lämmin kiitos Iltalehden Jari Himaselle ihanasta jutustelusta ja Jenni Gästgivarille upeista kuvista!

PS.

one thing I’ve learned throughout my fitness journey is that it’s okay to slow down and give your body the time it needs to rest and recover ✨

started with the sauna to warm up and relax, moved into a cold plunge for a refreshing reset, and finished with a soothing soak in the mineral-rich hot tub💆🏻‍♀️

recovery is just as important as the work you put in🧘🏻‍♀️

My friend and I did a soak pass for two and it was my second visit, and it is quickly becoming my favorite kind of recovery day. We moved between the saunas, the cold plunge, and the warm soaks, and we talked more than we have in months. Nothing on the schedule, no phone in my hand, just heat, cold, and good conversation. If you have been pushing hard in your workouts, a day like this is worth planning on purpose. A pass for two made it easy to bring a friend and turn recovery into something we both looked forward to.

@natchgeist and I recently went to check out @batheaustin for a little recovery day, which was much needed after back-to-back weekends of ACL and Gay Bowl. 😅 I really enjoy prioritizing wellness activities in my routine because I also love having way too much fun (balance is important).

We tried the mineral soak tubs, three different saunas, and the cold plunges. 🧖🏻‍♂️ If you follow me, you know I already enjoy cold plunging most days at home, so I was a big fan of getting to experience contrast therapy in a dedicated space right here in our East Austin neighborhood. Every soak pass also includes coworking access, so you can make a whole day out of your reset!

My first cold plunge at Warrior Woman’s five-year celebration! 🥶 I made some wonderful new friends, including the amazing human who filmed this. So thankful our paths crossed, and I’m already excited to do it again!

Please enjoy the ending, where the cold water apparently removes what little filter I had. 😂
