A little room for a big design moment ✨

We’re seeing powder rooms become the perfect place to be bold. As part of our upcoming Manly project, this powder room has dramatic botanical wallpaper which sets the tone, balanced with natural stone, metallic accents and a considered tile choice.

Bespoke joinery should do more than simply look beautiful.

In the master ensuite of our Elizabeth Bay project, this curved timber column quietly continues the architectural language of the space. Open it, and a series of concealed drawers and cupboards keeps all those small bathroom essentials organised, accessible and out of sight.

With Blum SERVO-DRIVE, a gentle touch is all it takes.

Beautiful when closed. Brilliant when opened. This is what bespoke design is all about.

Let’s get up close and personal with the wet room in our Narrabeen project. 👀

This beautifully resolved zone brings the bath and shower together, featuring a freestanding back-to-corner bath, overhead shower and mixer tap in a striking gunmetal finish.

A tile-insert linear grate creates a streamlined transition across the floor, while the nib wall provides practical separation and becomes a design feature of its own, finished with the statement tile continuing above.

Why consider a wet room?
A more open feel: Fewer visual barriers can make the bathroom feel larger and less enclosed.
Efficient use of space: Grouping the bath and shower within one wet zone can create a more practical layout.
A cohesive finish: Continuous flooring and carefully coordinated fixtures give the room a clean, considered appearance.
Easier access: A streamlined shower area with minimal steps or thresholds can improve everyday usability.

Of course, careful planning, waterproofing and drainage are essential to ensure a wet room performs as beautifully as it looks too.

Would you include a wet room in your bathroom renovation?

AWARDS & RECOGNITION

Top 50 Rooms
Shortlist
KINGLSEY BEACH HOUSE
Best Bathroom 2026

Thanks to Gavin Kirk and the team @houseandgarden for recognising our Kinglsey Beach House project and for a fantastic event celebrating Australian Residential Interior Design.

Perched above Kingsley Beach, this treasured family beach house was thoughtfully reimagined to preserve the modest character and emotional legacy of a place shaped by generations of family life. Rather than replacing the cottage, the design embraces its intimacy, transforming a compact master suite into a restorative retreat. Conceived as a seamless extension of the bedroom, the ensuite creates a heightened sensory experience through reductive design strategies demonstrating how simplicity, sculptural form, material continuity and light can elevate a compact footprint into an immersive sanctuary deeply connected to landscape and
memory.

Congratulations to our many peers also. Such beautiful work by so many.

Natural texture, warm timber + a little bit of drama. 🤎

A closer look at the main bathroom and WC from our Narrabeen project, where a beautifully earthy palette gives both spaces a calm, retreat-like feel.

The hero throughout is the gorgeous natural terrazzo, used across the floor and carried up as a feature to create texture and visual impact. Paired with the warmth of Australian Native Woodmatt cabinetry and contrasting gunmetal tapware and accessories, the palette feels rich without being heavy.

In the main bathroom, a back to corner bath and frameless shower create a versatile wet room plus a generous vanity all sit comfortably within the space, while finer details like the textured wall tile and soft styling bring everything together.

And we love that the separate WC carries the same material story through, making the two rooms feel beautifully connected.

Warm, tactile and quietly luxurious. ✨

The details you barely notice are often the most considered. ✨

Julia takes us through our Narrabeen bathroom design, and this one is a beautiful example of how the smallest decisions can make a space feel resolved.

The inspiration actually started outside. A huge natural rock sits alongside the home, so we wanted to bring a little of that organic feeling indoors. The gorgeous natural terrazzo became the perfect starting point, grounding the floor and wrapping up into the bathroom as a feature.

But look a little closer and there’s a lot more happening.

The Kit Kat tiles have been carefully set out to align with the adjoining wall tiles, and the shaving cabinets were customised in height so they finish perfectly with the tile lines, without compromising the practical height of the vanity and splashback.

Even the terrazzo beside the vanity was carefully cut so the finish aligns neatly with the end of the joinery.
One of the biggest design and construction considerations was the difference in thickness between the natural terrazzo and porcelain wall tiles. The walls needed to be packed accordingly so the two finishes could meet flush, rather than creating an awkward step between materials.

The palette is completed with gunmetal tapware and accessories, a custom double vanity with Australian Native Woodmatt cabinetry and Caesarstone benchtop, plus a terrazzo-wrapped nib wall in the shower that doubles as a handy ledge for everyday essentials.

Beautiful bathrooms aren’t just about selecting beautiful finishes. They’re about considering how every one of those finishes meets, aligns and works together.

Watch as Julia talks us through the details. 🤎

A little sneak peek from our Narrabeen project 👀✨

We were on site today capturing this gorgeous bathroom, and the texture in this space is something else.

A chunky dark terrazzo brings depth and character, balanced by an Australian Native Woodmatt finish vanity, a substantial 60mm Caesarstone Bianco Drift benchtop and sleek gunmetal tapware and accessories.

Warm, tactile and beautifully layered, it has that calm, retreat-like feeling you want from a bathroom.

Wait to the end!!!

Arches are everywhere in design right now — and yes, some might say they’re being overused.

But in our defence… these ones were already here.

The original 1970s Elizabeth Bay apartment featured a series of arches, and rather than erase them, we chose to keep and reinterpret them as part of the new design.

Sometimes good design isn’t about introducing a new idea. It’s about recognising what already belongs.
