happy birthday junk drawer !! ⋆˚꩜｡⋆
9 markets. dozens of artists. one borough. it’s still surreal to think that i just started putting together these events last august; fast forward to now, and we have a whole community filled with amazing & talented queer artists ! thank you x a million to each vendor who showcased their hard work yesterday and for being extremely accommodating and flexible; to @coilandcord for being such great hosts and letting us take over their gorgeous studio space for the afternoon; and for each attendee who came to shop and support lgbtqia+ creatives: THANK YOU ❤︎₊ ⊹ your ongoing support means the whole world, not just to me but to every vendor who has joined us since our first market. cheers to more opportunities & more laughter, taking up more space and being unapologetically us !!

TOMORROW. JUNK DRAWER MARKET. ONE YEAR OLD.
i still can’t believe it’s been one whole year since i hatched the idea to start creating this space. when i found myself feeling out of place at other markets in brooklyn, i knew that somewhere out there, someone else probably felt the same way. junk drawer was born out of a need for consistent space for lgbtqia+ creatives - the ones who make with their hands, who spend hours crafting a vision, who toil away at something that brings gender and identity to life. here’s to us, not just as a market, but as a community. i can’t wait to celebrate with you all tomorrow at @coilandcord <3 . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁
