I love wave. But it's what's behind the music that really makes it special to me and many others. A community that is so passionate about supporting the incredible artists who create it that they are willing to travel from around the country (and the world) to do so. All with a genuinely positive desire to see it thrive. For the past 3 years, @symmetryfestival has given us just that. An opportunity to come together to experience the music we all love in a shared space.

The Symmetry family is an extension of what I mentioned above, and this year was a true showcase of what a community like that can do when faced with adversity. Thank you to the Symmetry team, organizers, artists, and everyone who worked so damn hard to pull together what they did. Being able to reconnect and dance with so many familiar smiling faces, as well as meeting new ones, is something I look forward to all year long. That was only possible in 2026 because of their efforts.

It was a great weekend at the end of it all.

Let's meet again in 2027

This was a fairytale ending to such a disastrous situation. Seeing a community come together to make something amazing happen was so beautiful and gives me hope for the world. We love you guys. Thank you. Please spread the word for symmetry. We want to see this festival live on.

Part 2 coming soon.

Symmetry weekend recap:

Thursday we waited in line in the car while it was raining for about 3 hours before the preparty was cancelled. We heard that there was a pop up at cider house before we left there and went straight to cider house. That night was awesome! Great sound and great vibes.

The next morning everyone that was camping at cider house woke up to someone having rammed the cider house door with their car. We all knew that wasn’t how we wanted to be remembered.

So that morning Ishan, Kelsey and myself went to talk to Clint, the owner of cider house. Thanks to their connections, Clint, Zac and Kathy Snow helped us find which bars we could go to that night. Clint immediately set up La Notte for Kelsey (Cloo) to play and Kelsey got the ball rolling on including more artists.

By then most of the campers had moved to Jefferson county campground, where we were graciously welcomed by the groundskeepers.

When we showed up to la notte, mad hatters and noble house also had things going on. So we were able to go back and forth between the 3 venues on the same street. Thanks a bunch to Arman at La Notte for being such a great host!

Seeing how many of the attendees that came out, along with tons of locals that just wanted to participate because their city had come alive, was truly magical. That night I started telling everyone what my good friend Jasmine suggested which is a fundraiser for symmetry. I emphasized the goal was to bring symmetry back next year. Little did I know something big would happen the next day.

After the shows that night we met up with T and Jonah and heard that Saturday was officially going to be an Onhell party. I immediately volunteered to help build.

Saturday the venue for the Onhell party cancelled but we got clearance to go to the arts convention center. The owners and operators there were some of the kindest hosts! Building was intense, lots of work crammed into about 4 hours by so many dedicated people. It was truly a miracle to behold and be included in.

This weekend was a testament to what we can do when community comes together. Hope to see you all next year. Music clips coming up next!

RECAP 1 FROM SATURDAYS NIGHTS WAVE SHOWCASE
TITLE - THE HARD EDIT

Seriously this show meant so much to our team. To be able to bring a genre and scene that hasn’t had the representation in Tampa that it frankly deserves was a true honor. We‘ll be getting a bit more sappy when we post the next recap but the upmost gratitude on this one goes to @tomkillsjerry_ - this show wouldn’t have been what it was without your guidance and selflessness and for that you have our upmost respect.
