“𝑵𝑶 𝑱𝑶𝒀 - 𝘢 𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘣𝘺 𝘱𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘵𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘭𝘵 𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦” — Viper

Welp, Maverick has been wounded in combat & I’m calling NO JOY. I went to have Maverick tuned which unfortunately led to a catastrophic outcome. After the first few pulls while establishing a baseline, Maverick gave out on the Dyno & spun a rod bearing; therefore, the motor is toast.

I am heartbroken 💔 Due to the sensitive nature of the FA24 Boxer motors, I have always exercised meticulous care regarding the Darkstar’s maintenance: oil changes at 3,000 miles instead of the recommended 5,000 mile interval, performed the spark plug change prior to tuning & done 10,000 miles before the recommended service interval, I had my oil pick-up tube cleaned of what little RTV was found & had the oil pan dropped & resealed….
I keep scratching my head thinking what more could I have done to prevent this from happening. Sometimes you can do everything you possibly can to prevent things like this from occurring in order to achieve your desired outcome; & sometimes there are external factors that will influence the outcome that are out of your control & ultimately are not your fault.

Despite this unfortunate situation I find myself in, I refuse to give up on Maverick. This only marks the beginning of a new chapter — a new era for the Darkstar. All I’ve got to say is farewell to the FA24 boxer motor. Motor swap here we come!

Thank you to those of you who reached out to extend support & encouragement as well, you guys really are the bee’s knees. I hope you’ll stick around to see what I have planned for the Darkstar in the future 🩶

Another one in the books this quick wash and full interior cleaning was done on a work vehicle…😎 safe to say its ready for work and the owner can enjoy the art of a clean vehicle on the daily commute to work. Always feel free to DM for a free consultation and quote on your next detail needs 🙌

@wekfest_usa 2026 will definitely be a show to remember!

This was my first year as an exhibitor while also having the pleasure of being an exhibitor at the @chasingmidnight.us booth! Thank you @exoluna_ for allowing me to exhibit the Darkstar & to participate in working the booth again this year!

The incredible level of builds, socializing with awesome folks both familiar & new, creating new memories, along with all the fun & laughter that was had - I couldn’t be more grateful & blessed to have the opportunity to participate in Wekfest SJ 2026. Wekfest SJ 2025 was my first year ever attending Wekfest, & attending continues to inspire me in building my own car seeing such immaculate cars.

I’m already excited for next year.
Wekfest SJ 2027 - here we come!

I want to first start off - this entire thing wouldn’t have been possible without @chasingmidnight allowing @pinoy.e.fk8 and I as @grmautobody to park beside them, and my very supportive wife @duuxvii. There’s never enough time with these people and I wouldn’t trade it for Anything.

This was a fun and great show to say the least! Like it was announced - it was a huge overflowing turnout. Many more vehicles and vendors and the amount of guests that showed up seemed much much more than the other years.

Overall great builds all across the event, but this specific Wekfest felt more unique and with quality than the other times. No matter how many times I walked around, I still can’t believe I missed seeing some cars. Huge props to the parking coordinators. That’s a job that is Not easy and with that much patience.

There was a lot on my end for the FK8 for Wekfest prep..that will be another time, but let’s get the photos out first. I’ll be sending out photos and if there’s anyone that I missed that sees their photos without a tag and wants them, message me - I got you! 🤝

also, thank you so much @jrdennisa for helping take care of my kid with @duuxvii and also letting me drive all the way back home because I forgot a poster and some stuff..🫠

The day of our Wekfest trip is finally here.

Months of preparation have all led to this moment. Behind the scenes were late nights, unexpected setbacks, and last minute changes. But seeing everything finally come together makes it all worth it.

The day of our Wekfest trip is finally here.

Months of preparation have all led to this moment. Behind the scenes were countless revisions, late nights, unexpected setbacks, and last-minute changes—but seeing everything finally come together makes it all worth it.

Now it’s time to dive to the one of the biggest car shows in US.

Evo X front bumper, wing cf reclear, and front cf lip of @exoluna_ is complete at @grmautobody! It's always a chill time with everyone from Reno - @battlebornevox, @gr_darkstar, and @jordinrelated. @pinoy.e.fk8 always puts his finest work out. The parts of the Evo X needed work because it's the daily and track car. It definitely gets driven and needed some serious TLC this time. Check out the detailed photos in the next post!
