I was given the opportunity to design a variant cover for issue 3 of the 'Summoner Wars' comic using character art from the game. I love doing collages like this, taking individual art pieces and combining them in a way that tells a story, and allows each character to be seen while complimenting the overall composition and characters around them.

Martin Abel's @abelart amazing illustrations continue to shine and obviously do the heavy lifting, and I'm thankful to help show this art in a medium outside of the game cards.

And to see my name credited for the cover work collaboration was also awesome, as I wasn't expecting that.

Meeting Andrew at San Diego Comic-Con was a memorable experience. As the creator of The Young No’Madds, he impressed me not only with his creativity but also with his humility and genuine passion for storytelling.

It was inspiring to hear him talk about building original worlds and characters that encourage courage, unity, and hope. Moments like these remind me that behind every great comic is a creator who truly believes in the power of imagination.

Thank you, Drew, for taking the time to chat with me. I wish you continued success, and I’m looking forward to seeing where your stories take readers next.

THESE WILL SELL OUT, so grab tix now if you'd like to join us!

Cosmic Monkey Comics has partnered with @academytheaterpdx for two great nights of fantasy fun in September – the 15th at 6:30PM (dubbed) and the 17th at 6PM (subtitled)! 15 bucks gets you entrance to a Miyazaki masterpiece on the big screen, and a FREE copy of our exclusive SUMMONER WARS 1 comic to boot!

It’s been a little more than 20 years since HOWL’S MOVING CASTLE was first released on the big screen, and it’s lost none of its magic. We defy anyone to explain its power or majesty in any language, but here’s IMDb’s take: “When an unconfident young woman is cursed with an old body by a spiteful witch, her only chance of breaking the spell lies with a self-indulgent yet insecure young wizard and his companions in his legged, walking castle.”

SUMMONER WARS - an incredible tabletop franchise by Plaid Hat leading to card, mobile and online games - is about to celebrate its 20th anniversary. And Battle Quest Comics is launching the SUMMONER WARS series in September, and Cosmic Monkey has an exclusive wraparound cover illustrated by interior artists Patrick Macchi and Mo Hollowell to celebrate. Limited to only 500 copies, writer Justin Zimmerman (The 27 Run, The Killing Jar) will also be on hand to sign every copy!

NOTE. Get to the Academy promptly so there's plenty of time to get your EXCLUSIVE comic! There's one for everyone!

Rock and roll, and see ya soon…
