Seven days celebrating 69 years of life. ❤️🎂🇨🇦

The sounds, laughter, faces and memories in this post say more than I ever could.

My four-month journey through Europe continued into Canada, where some of the people I love most came together to celebrate my 69th birthday. Otto flew in from Florida, Billy from California, and my dear friend Don McMurtry joined an incredible group of family members and lifelong friends.

For seven days, it simply never stopped! From Kitchener and Waterloo to St. Jacobs, Toronto, Niagara Falls and everywhere in between we traveled, explored, ate, laughed, told stories, hugged and celebrated life together. ❤️

And it all ended with an unforgettable celebration at my sister Ana’s home.

Ana, I cannot express the love I have for you as my sister. You and your husband are two of the most special people I know on this planet. Thank you for everything you did to make this time so meaningful. ❤️

Francisco, thank you for your love, kindness and generosity, and for opening your heart and your home. Your friendship has meant so much throughout my life.

And Andrea meeting you during our Algonquin adventure with Don, Alexandra and me was another unexpected gift. You are very special and very funny! And yes… I still hope your ankle has forgiven me for dropping the canoe on you! 😂🛶❤️

To everyone who traveled, visited, celebrated and shared these seven incredible days with me thank you.

At 69, I realize more than ever that the greatest gift isn’t how many years we live, but who we are fortunate enough to share those years with.

Family. Friendship. Laughter. Adventure. Gratitude. Love.

Turn up the sound and enjoy a little piece of one of the most memorable weeks of my life.

I love you all. Thank you for being part of my life, my journey and my story. You will never be forgotten. ❤️🙏

If Fear Hadn’t Stood Between US

This song is the truth of my son Nick and me.
Of our lives, our love, and the space fear created between moments we both longed for.
I lived in the present and chose love.
Nick carried a deep heart, big dreams, and a desire to grow.
Fear rooted in the past made that harder for him.
This isn’t a story of blame.
It’s a story of truth, love, and what fear can interrupt…
and what love never stops offering.
I share this to honor my son,
and the life we lived together, and a
art.
Nothing is a coincidence.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love Like Nick Loved. Live With Purpose.

Today, on Christmas, I choose to carry forward the purpose my son Nick lived with every single day of his life.

Nick was born to give love ❤️ real love, raw, fearless, and unapologetic.
Love that didn’t perform.
Love that didn’t ask permission.
Love that flowed straight from his heart into the hearts of others.

His smile could ignite the darkest room and turn heaviness into light.
His presence alone lifted people, made them feel seen, safe, and alive.
He had a way of loving that reminded others of who they truly were.

And those who couldn’t receive it… simply didn’t know how to stand in that kind of truth. His light was so powerful it didn’t argue, it didn’t explain it simply was. And that was enough.

Nick is not physically here with us now, but his spirit is everywhere love exists.
He left us with a message that is clear, urgent, and timeless:

Be real.
Love boldly.
Give without holding back.

Today, let’s honor him not with sadness, but with life.
With generosity.
With kindness.
With the courage to love fully and live with purpose.

This is the legacy I carry forward.
This is the message I choose to live by.

Live with purpose.
Love like Nick loved.
Let your light be impossible to ignore. ❤️✨

It starts with a mirror.
Not to see yourself…
but to meet yourself.

The person you dream of becoming is already in there waiting for you to believe.

I could not read or write when I began.
So I drew my future until it came to life.
Every line was a promise to never give up.

The mirror never lies.
It reflects the truth you’re too afraid to admit,
that you are capable of more than you ever imagined.

Write it. Draw it. Speak it.
Then become it.

🌊✨ 🌊✨ Marcelo and Leonardo, my brothers, you have been a constant presence in my life, a reminder of what it truly means to have a home, not just a place, but a bond that anchors me. And Alexandra, the love with whom I share my life, you are the heart that makes every moment meaningful.

Eugenia and Laura, we cannot forget about you. You have joined our lives together with these two wonderful men, my brothers, to celebrate the life and joy we all share as friendship and family. You are wonderful people, and I am grateful for the love and light you bring into our lives.

You all remind me of the importance of never giving up on my dreams. For me, home is our sailboat a vessel that carries us across the seas and holds the love we’ve built together. We’ve made it possible to share this wonderful dream with thousands of people, and my hope for the future is that many more will come along for the ride.

Today, my son Nicholas shares this home with me too. His spirit sails with us, free and eternal, reminding me that love, family, and dreams live on forever. 🌅⛵️❤️ 🌅⛵️❤️

🐬🐬🐬🐬 Nick’s New Journey 🌊🐬

Nick is now swimming with dolphins in one of the most beautiful places in the Atlantic, the northern end of Bimini in the Bahamas. As we spotted the dolphins, we stopped and celebrated his life in a place where joy and freedom surround him.

I imagine him there now, playing with these incredible creatures, having more fun than ever before on this new journey.

We’ve learned so much from Nicholas his generosity, his love, and his kindness are now being carried by the Gulf Stream, spreading across the entire world. Trust me, he will go around the planet.

For a boy who grew into a man with a deep love for the ocean, one who always dreamed of sailing but never quite had the chance, this is the most beautiful part of his story. Now he travels freely, carried by the waves.

This celebration was made even more special with good friends from Uruguay and with Alexandra by my side. Together, we shared a wonderful time sailing in the Bahamas, honoring Nick’s spirit with love, laughter, and the ocean he adored.

I thank him for every lesson, and above all for teaching me about love the love he shared, and the love I continue to share with him.

Nick will never be forgotten. And I know his sister Christina would smile with approval, knowing exactly where her brother lives today.

Christina, I love you 🤗 ❤️😘 your papa forever ❤️
Nick, you will always be with us.

Share the story with everyone you know. Nick needs to travel the world.❤️🤗😘

I want you to know something straight from my heart… the love I have for the people I care about, and for those I love most in this life, will never end. ❤️

No matter what happens, no matter where life takes us, my love doesn’t fade, it only grows stronger. Even through distance, challenges, or the storms we face, my love remains unshakable.

I will never stop loving you. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever… until the day I take my last breath. That’s my promise, and that’s my truth. 🌊✨

So cherish the ones you love today because time waits for no one. ⏳💙

Nick,

Thirty-six days ago, you left on a journey with no return, a journey of love, kindness, and generosity. One I will never forget. One I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Memories of you fill me every day, memories of joy, of pain, of love, of anguish, of kindness. You lived a life full of love. You shared it, you gave it, and you spread it everywhere you went, with everyone you touched.

Everywhere I look, I see you. Every sunrise and sunset, every flower, every star above me as I travel the ocean, you are there. I feel you beside me, just as you always have been.

I miss your hugs. I miss your voice. I miss the look in your eyes when you called my name. I will miss you forever. But I will carry you with me forever.

Thank you for being my son. Thank you for every joy, every laugh, every beautiful moment. You were and still are an inspiration in my life.

I love you,
Papa ❤️

⏳ Time waits for no one.

Life is not promised in some distant tomorrow, it is here, in this moment, alive in every breath. Too often we wait, postponing love, holding back words, saving our truest selves for a day that may never come. But life is sacred because it ends. And in that ending, it prepares us, not only to cherish what is here, but to journey on, united with the ones we love beyond this world.

The invisible string of love binds Nick and Christina, woven with their Papa and Mom, across all lifetimes. Though unseen, this sacred thread is felt in every heartbeat, every memory, every whisper of the soul. Love never dies, it only transcends, carrying us together into the light of eternity.❤️

✨ Live now. Love now. Say it now. Tomorrow will not wait. ✨

Nicholas: A Legacy of Love
In the quiet of our hearts, his voice still whispers.

“If you’re reading this, it means my story didn’t end when my time here did. I lived the way I did because love was the only thing worth leaving behind. I wanted people to feel seen, to know they mattered, to believe that even in pain, there’s beauty worth holding onto. I laughed hard, I forgave often, and I gave my heart fully, because that’s the only way I knew how to live. And if you listen closely, you’ll still hear me, because my love hasn’t gone anywhere, it’s just taken on a new form.”

The love I have for my son will never die; it will live on for the rest of my life and beyond.
Nick’s spirit will forever shine in the hearts of those who truly loved him. And for those who never knew him, his presence will be revealed through the beauty of his spirit, touching lives in ways only he can. If you open your heart, he will bring peace to your soul.

Nicholas, my son, you have taught me so much. You’ve shown me who my true friends are, who my family is, and the power of trust, and of letting go. You taught me the real meaning of happiness, and the depth of pain that comes with love.

Even in the sorrow of losing you, I rejoice knowing I had the gift of living alongside you, guiding you through life the best way I could. I find peace knowing you are at peace.

“And now, I’m still here, just in a different way. When you laugh, when you choose kindness, when you forgive, you’ll find me there. My love for you is endless, and I’ll be walking beside you until we meet again.”

I love you, Buddy, forever and always. ❤️
